Mallrats [VHS]

Kevin Smith's early output, such as this and Clerks, have that raw 'underground' feeling to them, although Mallrats in particular brings some great talent to the shops: Ben Affleck, Claire Forlani, Michael Rooker, Shannen Doherty, Jason Lee, and so on.Mallrats is about kids with nothing to do and nothing much to care about beyond comics and girls. Characters are weird, wonderful or woeful, and the script is fast, punchy and funny.It's a movie very much of its time but still holds up as an easy, enjoyable watch. Oh, and Stan Lee's cameo is way better than anything he's done in any Marvel movie.

Very entertaining and a great story and very funny

Pretty good from Kevin Smith on a still low budget but much more than his previous films with good cast of leads Jason Landon, Jason Lee, Shannen Doherty, Ben Affleck, Chasing Amy star, cameo by Spiderman creator Spike Lee and the duo of Jay & Silent Bob (Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith).All round excellent picture quality and audio sound of direction less friend's breaking up with girlfriend's, hanging out in malls meeting up with acquaintences, madness, mayhem, some romance and pondering life.

I can`t believe this was a cinema flopIt is one of the best movies I have seen its very Nerdy/Geeky and you can not take it seriously but it is a lot of silly fun and it will put a grin on your faceI can't remember if I saw this one on tape or on the big screen I think it was tape and promise it is a good filmThe cast is a collection of at the time soon to be stars an some who had made it but it runs more like clerks then Dogma it sort of creeps up on you with the comedy the writing and the direction are as we will see a progress but the basic element of keep it light keep it fun is on the money

A funny movie that still stands well today

not too good, maybe only worthy due to the "jay and silent bob" introduction for next saga movies of them, nothing else.
