Does the copper tarnish?

Yes the copper tarnishes. It's a normal property of copper to tarnish. How fast it tarnishes depends on your body chemistry. Mine is barely tarnished after a couple months wear, my husbands was very tarnished after a week.

What percentage is the copper in this bracelet?

Brenda, The bracelet is close to 99.8% pure copper along with the jump rings. The lobster claw clasp is 82 percent copper, 17 percent zinc and 3 percent brass. We also carry a pure copper ) also 99.7 percent copper that can be requested instead of the lobster claw clasp. Thank you, Jeff
