Must-have info for actors at every level of experience
How to Audition on Camera is a must-have book for all on-camera actors, regardless of experience level. It's chock-full of information for every crucial question I've ever had about the audition process. The book is formatted as an FAQ guide, well organized and relevant in our self-tape world. As an experienced actor, I appreciate the way it's formatted because, although I already knew a good amount of what Bialy covers here, she presents it in a way that I learned something or had an important reminder on every page. While it doesn't contain all the technical specifics regarding self-tapes that actors have to know about now, the value in Bialy's writing is that she's boiled her years of experience as a CD into an easy-to-digest, powerful and simple guide to help actors make distinctive, memorable choices. The book is such a must-have, that I accidentally deleted my first review and had to re-write it.

For New and Experienced Actors
Knowledge is beneficial in any career, I think we can all agree on that so why wouldn't you get advice from one of the best Casting Directors in the industry? It's a no-brainer for you to get this book and soak in everything Sharon has to say. My acting coach, Sara Mornell recommended I read this book and with her teachings paired with Sharon answering every question an actor could have about auditioning, I am BEYOND hyped for my career. Remember, to be an overnight success takes years of practice, discipline, and a little luck so know that this book is a little piece of the puzzle that you most definitely need. Good luck to you.~ Jillana Darbyimdb.me/JillanaDarby

GET THIS BOOK!!!!
Actors!!! Not to be dramatic (lolol), but this is the single most important and helpful book for auditioning I have ever read. It is a must for all actors- I wish I had found it years ago! It includes practical information and wisdom for everything you will need or come up against when auditioning. It's very well-written, understandable, and easy to digest (unlike so many acting books). She also includes examples from her work that help bring her wisdom to life. I feel like I found a secret weapon in this book! Sharon clearly loves actors, and that makes the read so much more enjoyable. You can feel her warmth and honesty through the pages. Just knowing she's an example of a "high up" casting director makes me that much less nervous to walk into auditions - she'll prove what you've heard from people over and over- casting directors really do want you to succeed, to do your very best. She humanizes and simplifies the whole auditioning process. I really cannot say it enough - buy this book now! It's one I'll read over and over through this crazy acting career...a gift that keeps on giving!

Bialy is a Boss
I learned about this book in one of Sharon Bialy’s interviews I came across when researching particular casting directors I want to work with. (Normal Actor stuff, ya know?) Sharon was so personable in her interview and it comes across in her book as well.I appreciate that Bialy’s book is broken down in an easy to digest Q&A Format. It’s an easy, but mighty informative read. I also really enjoyed the ease of highlighting and saving certain sections using the kindle app. Great for quickly referencing certain sections later.I highly recommend this book to all actors, regardless of your level. Bialy is a boss and she tells you like it is from her casting chair. She demystifies many questions actors have, and she does so from solid industry experience.

I can't recommend Sharon Bialy's book enough!
I can't recommend Sharon Bialy's book enough! If you're an actor, especially a new actor learning about how to audition, you need this book in your arsenal. Let's face it, acting & auditioning are 2 different animals. I know plenty of actors that say they are great once on set, but they just have hard time with auditions. Which know means you aren't getting on set if you can't get past the gate of the audition. This book takes a LOT of that mystery away. It seems so simple after reading it, but yet we know these are the things that trip us up as actors. I'm currently studying with Sara Mornell in Atlanta, & she highly recommends this book & echoes Ms. Bialy's sentiments. We know that the rules are always changing in this biz, but the basics will always seem to stay. How to Audition on Camera will always be one of my go-to's when it comes to the technical aspects of the audition. It is an easy & fast read. And I can reference it anytime I need to be refreshed on something if I feel the nerves coming up or I'm overthinking the process. So thanks, Sharon Bialy!Melissa Lowe, Actor
