I always use the Venum competitor groin guard for sparring and fights. Superb fit and protection. Great product.

The best groin guard I have used and it fits very well, almost like it’s not even there

Good quality Box. I have always just use a cheaper box, but i have experienced a strike to the cheaper box that has fractured my pelvis. The plastic of the cup protruded through the rubber on the box. I have now spent more money on this Venum cup/box which feels like it has has more padding and protecting at the edges of the cup. Once I'm fully healed I will feel safer wearing this new cup/box.

Well I’m not speaking in a squeaky voice so it works! I tend to fight southpaw and as such often find myself exposed to an accidental kick to the nadgers during sparring. This is a light, well fitting cup which seems to work.

If you train in any combat sport, especially one that involves kicking like MMA, and you don't have a groin guard, you are a fool. I learnt this the hard way like many other beginners. I've probably been through about 6 or 7 groin guards since I started training and I have to say that I am most pleased with this latest purchase. Most of my old groin guards have been RDX, which are good but have not lasted very long. My previous one to this was the Venum Challenger Groin Guard (the downgraded model), which lasted longer however the elastic eventually went and was no longer usable. This time I decided to spend a little more on a higher quality model and I am glad I did. The cup itself if much more comfortable and the elastic strap feels stronger. It has been good these past few months I have been using it, with hopefully many more to come!

I bought it for my son.... truthfully I haven't actually asked him about it. But it looked good enough in the packaging, and the quality is there too

Amazon delivered as promised and package was undamaged. Used in class and my package, as promised, was also undamaged. See what I did there? I am a Dad. After several unintended kicks to the beanbag, this protector is still working fine with its no tears formula. The cup is removable so you can wash it. Please wash your protector from junk sweat, because gross. No one wants to smell that.

I picked this up for my Muay Thai class. It’s obviously not as comfortable as not wearing a cup, but I forget it’s there pretty quickly after a couple minutes. It doesn’t interfere with any of my kicks and knees, and doesn’t travel out of place. My last cup was old school, this is definitely an improvement on that, padding on the cup is definitely an upgrade from the old style. Stays where you want it and it easily separates so you can wash the strap or cup. Depending on how aggressive your training schedule is it would be super easy to get a second strap so you could wash the straps at the end of the week and just transfer the cup since it’s plastic and washes/dries fast. Like I said I haven’t tried any of the newer styles of cups, but I know this one works for martial arts. I read the reviews on the other style I saw tons of sellers advertising with the compression shorts and then you just slip the cup inside that, they had a really high star rating, but when I looked at the lower star ratings it was a lot of times people in martial arts saying they didn’t work for them. Maybe they would be good for baseball or something, but I needed a protector for fighting, too many people complained with the compression shorts style that it would move when you threw a big hip opening kick( like a higher roundhouse kick), or when grappling/rolling. I saw multiple reviews saying that the compression shorts style would move and sit on top of the grapes making it even scarier to catch a kick then not even having protection. This strap style I got just over the top of my boxer briefs and under my shorts stays put, let’s you throw strikes the same way you would without it and it definitely feels solid enough to do it’s job. Hope this helps someone in deciding what product they should get.
