This is an incredible purchase for anybody that is a rock or gem collector and while it’s also amazing for kids, I need to reiterate its incredible value not only for the price , but for its variety and quality. THERE IS NO SMELL, that seems like a very misplaced reaction for a review of this collection and personally bothers me that anyone would hinder others from purchasing such a fantastic deal. Both color and size are exactly what someone who has knowledge in this area of purchase would expect. Both incredible variety in both shapes and size , anyone who appreciates receiving vibrant, and beautiful natural stones will be thrilled with this purchase. Generous in the full amount as I weighed tge selection , nothing was missing or damaged . when dealing “natural stones ,” what some describe as damaged and chipped sounds way more like a description of what one should expect natural stones in bulk to surface . These however were beyond minimal it what would be normal to find in such a massive collection of stones . For less then $25, there is only one thing to do - Buy them before you can’t anymore!

So we've had a ball with these. I'm buying more, due tomorrow I think. Grandkids, 7 and 8, totally immersed themselves in these! No tv on!!! Interested, involved like I've never seen them. We are becoming rock hounds, the whole dang family!!!! These little gems unite things! I spread them all over my space, for a more natural decor, got rid of some old stuff to make room for them here and there. And I honestly feel like I'm living on the bright side. No downside so far but with kids around one must consider the "stepping on legos" effect. So far the kids have been better at picking up dropped ones than I have been, so there is that. I did step on one that I dropped but it did not hurt like a Lego does, not bad at all. Not even a bruise or soreness after, it was an obsidian. Might even buy another bag.....

Overall this is a nice collection of little rocks. There is certainly a great variety of colors and types, and they are well distributed with roughly even amounts of every type. My child was dazzled by this box of rocks, and was excitedly picking out favorites. I have just two minor complaints. First, the quality of stones is not the greatest. Most of them are slightly beaten up with obvious imperfections, though I admit this is to be expected at this price point. Second, a small fraction of pieces do not look to me like natural gemstones or crystals, but are instead suspiciously like glass. A couple of pieces specifically look like they were recycled from toy jewelry, with obviously manufactured shapes or even a hole drilled through (presumably a bead from a necklace or bracelet). There are also a few pieces that look like glazed ceramic, since the color only coats the outside and the inside is pure white. To be fair, these only account for a small fraction of the box, while I believe the large majority are real, natural stones.

The gemstones are of nice quality, but they are relatively small, averaging about 0.4 inches each. The set includes over 3 pounds of stones, though the price seems to be on the higher side. My toddler absolutely loved them! We played a treasure hunt game together, and to keep his excitement and interest in collecting, I didn’t mention that I had purchased them.

Such a great collection! The stones are vibrant, plentiful, and perfect for science lessons, crafts, or just fun exploring. Definitely worth every penny.

Good variety but a lot of dust like they were not rinsed after going through the rock tumbler and there is a picture in the listing with them and a quarter that shows most of them looking like they are as wide as a quarter and I would says most are the size of large peas with some being the size of a dime. That's a dime in my photo with a random handful.
