A peek behind the curtains
What an honest and authentic launchpad into the life of a digital nomad. Felt like somewhat of a cheat code in getting set up and prepped for things you just wouldn’t expect on the nomadic path. Twists, turns, humor and word for word blueprints that you can snag! This is a trusty pocket guide for sure! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge Kayla - 10/10

A fantastic guidance tool
Reviewed from the perspective of someone working remote/hybrid in tech I found this book really helpful for planning my move to self employed consultancy in the digital nomad landscape. This was written in such an engaging way, easy to digest and broken down in a way to take a topic I was finding overwhelming to look at as a whole and breaking it down in to manageable steps. Highly recommend to fellow remote/hybrid workers in tech looking to get themselves out in to the world and find better work/life balance.

Solid roadmap
This is a really interesting read for anyone considering the digital nomad lifestyle. It's full of practical and useful tips. It doesn't mythologise the digital nomad lifestyle or talk down to the reader but rather sets out all the things to consider, including whether this lifestyle might be right for you, and how long for.Definitely worth a read before making the leap!

A practical and inspiring book
I loved this easy-to-read tome by Kayla Ihrig. It’s a great read - if not essential reading - for anyone who is seriously thinking of becoming a digital nomad. But it’s also got lots of practical advice for anyone who travels anywhere. Plus there are plenty of useful life hacks and tips to bear in mind eg don’t use your laptop on soft surfaces (I never knew that!) I really enjoyed the author’s personal reminiscences of travel as well - she whisked me off to faraway places without me having to leave the comfort of my sofa. All round, a great read!

Good in parts
This is a quick easy guide to some of the things people will need to consider when contemplating taking on life as a digital nomad. It gives a good balance of the pros and cons of such a lifestyle, as well as useful tips about being ready ahead of deadlines that I guess most of us could take on board, regardless of where and when we work. For me, a couple of things were missing completely or not covered in enough depth. Clearly, the author has been able to continue doing the sort of work she did in the USA whilst she's on the road but I would have hoped to see more advice on the type of work that other people should consider or skills they need to develop to make the most of this style of work-life. There's also not much about how a person might navigate their way back to the 'real world' after a stint of nomadic life. It's a lot easier to take off around the world with the security of a fully remote job that accepts you working from anywhere, than trying to find work whilst you're already on the road.I enjoyed the book but felt it could have offered more advice about finding work.

Very good collection of advice
While this read is shorter and quicker than expected, it’s a good read and contains precise information without letting paragraphs fold into waffle. It can’t answer some exact questions, like how much money you’ll need, because everyone’s circumstances differ, what you start with and where you’re going, but the various options to answer this question are very helpful. If you want a practical guide, then this is the book. You can expand upon each area suggested as you have your own experiences and information to hand. I would perhaps have enjoyed some more suggestion on how to make money to live while travelling, but I guess this book provides the starting positions. I do like the way the writer includes not just their own thoughts, but expands on the experiences of others. It does feel a little USA centric, so others will need to adjust for this. Overall, this is very useful and I hope to be able to expand on the many suggestions for my own purposes and to use the book as a springboard to my own reality. This book have saved me a lot of the initial thinking.

Practical, Exciting, and Motivating!
I've read "How to Be A Digital Nomad" over the summer, and I feel completely different. This book is exciting, inspiring, fun, light hearted, and an easy read - but, it's the first book that feels useful and practical. I actually believe that I'm capable of finding security within my remote work. This book was full of real life tips for freelancers and workers alike! It's basically the opposite of gatekeeping, and it's clearly written for the audience. Ihrig knows how to keep you interested in the book, confident in your own skills, curious about the world, and inspired enough to believe in yourself and trust in change. 100% recommend.

Inspiring and realistic read!
With first-hand accounts from actual digital nomads (of all types) this book will definitely give you a lens into the lifestyle. It details both the travel side and the work side and accurately reflects both the benefits and pain points of digital nomadism. It’s a great read especially for those who don’t want to compromise their career but want to find more opportunities to travel and/break out of the status quo.
