As adults, we like the functionality of this sweet desktop robot. Unlike most all of the other desktop robots, it goes into AI intelligence without needing prompting (having superb, instant ChatGPT)! The ChatGPT is free. It can be put in different desktop-display-modes, until it is "woken up," like a clock mode, weather mode, multiple personal picture mode, etc. That is very convenient. It's fun to interact with and is very informative. Ask it to tell you about recent scientific discoveries, for instance, and it will tell you. Highly recommended!

I like the potential of Rux but unfortunately I had to send it back due to too many bugs and its inability to carry on a conversation with the stock chat GPT. Company wasn’t doing updates fast enough to fix bugs and communication with support was spotty. Rux could do with a little bit more of a personality too. If you don’t have good knowledge on programming and using your own AI engine etc I wouldn’t recommend this as a first choice for AI personal assistant and desktop companion. Overall, I am waiting to see what the company does but as for right now it is not effective for me.

It's advertised as supporting a local AI, but even when you use local AI, the device calls home and transmits everything to a data center owned by Tencent, a very large chinese conglomerate. Forgets WIFI settings on every reboot. And you have to reboot it if you shut it down, because it won't want to wake up again unless you plug it in. It's cute, and fine if you use it as a toy, but AI features are not there yet (or maybe ever.)

the robot had no voice and was missing power cables and other parts it arrived in an already open and broken box. very sad I was looking forward to this little friend

Some of the app and most of its functions need refining. The AI interface is somewhat narrow in its range of responding to questions. Would be helpful if the product had more interaction with Google services and Alexa. Hopefully in time this product will continue to develop and become more robust. I purchased this as a replacement for my Vector robot.

Company very slow on needed updates with edge detection and charging base. Walks right off the table every time. Can set on end of charge station and still cant make it to recharge. Someday might be worth the price but at this time buy an EMO. EMO is so much better
