WDT Flick Tool

This is an incredibly satisfying WDT tool with impeccable design. The fact they opted for magnets instead of spring loaded is genius and I have full confidence this device will last me a very long time. The two mounting options of magnetic vs stand like a pencil is very convenient for multiple applications. It's got some weight to it which makes it feel quality too.

This is an awesome gadget. Sure it breaks up any clumping and distributes the coffee nicely like a WDT should. What I really love is the retractability and that I can hang it magnetically. The build quality is very nice and the compact size is a plus. This works well and I am very pleased with my purchase.

I knew when I bought this that it was probably an unnecessary upgrade over standard WDT tools. It functions the same as others but with a bit of a higher price tag, but that price tag is worth it in my opinion. Tool comes with both a stand and a magnet to mount it on the side of your espresso machine and I’ve personally come to use the stand for the most part. Cleaning has been a bit of a challenge, I’ve noticed it’s hard to get grounds out of the sheath part that surrounds the needles when they retract but my solution has been solved by a simple turn into a microfiber towel. It’s honestly a great size, fits in your hand perfectly and feels natural to retract. The outside is a solid plastic, and the thumb press is metal which feels very high quality.

I’ll be honest—I didn’t think I needed the Subminimal Flick WDT Tool. It’s usually marketed for espresso prep, and I use it solely for pour over. But after trying it out, I’m pleasantly surprised at how much more consistent my brews have become. 🛠️ Top-Notch Build Quality: This isn’t your average piece of coffee gear. Its slim form makes it easy to tuck away, but I honestly leave it out because it looks so clean and intentional. ☕ Fantastic Ground Distribution: Even though it’s designed for espresso, it works wonders with my pour over routine. Distributing grounds evenly before brewing has noticeably reduced channeling and helped me achieve more balanced extractions. It’s not magic, but it’s pretty darn close. 🧐 Is It Essential? Probably not. But is it useful? Absolutely. It’s one of those accessories that feels like a luxury add-on but ends up earning its place in the daily routine. If you're into coffee and appreciate gear that’s both functional and beautiful, the Flick won’t disappoint—even if espresso isn’t your thing.

The quality of the WDT tool is great, super sleek design and has some weight to it so it feels high end. Not only does it look and work great, its super fun to use! Just press the button and the needles come out, then flick it back and they pop back in! It comes with extra needles if something happens and also a stand to hold it upright on your coffee bar. If you are short on space, it is also magnetic and can attach to the side of your machine. It is worth the price and it works so much better than the cheap WDT I was using before that I can say with confidence that it will have a permanent spot on my coffee bar!

Positive experience with my first wdt. Pros: retractable, comes with a magnetic plate (optional sticker on the back of magnet) to hold the wdt, and economical but still aesthetic + functional. Would recommend.

Works really well and very satisfying to flick. Love that it comes with different sized needles. I ended up switching to the larger needles so they wouldn't get bent. The only issue I've had is that after about a year the top has started to develop a crack but I taped it and it still work for now.

This a really good product for any budding home barista. It is really easy to use and is very solid and well built for the price. It is functional and just the right weight without been too heavy/light. It has really improved my puck preparation and my espresso massively! I also really like the little storage/magnet which comes with both adhesive pads and magnets for flexibility. Highly recommend.

So I have quite a few WDT tools and I really didn’t need another one, but this was priced relatively affordably. Normally you pay around $10, and this is x 3 the price, but I’ve had a good experience with most of Subminimal products and I thought I’ll try this out. This comes with slightly thicker stock needles, but they give you three extra pairs of needles ( actually hairpin style ones) which are a little thick and can be replaced with included tool and a Philips screw driver, which I did immediately because the included needles on the device are too thick. The needles are actually a curved hairpin style, so you can’t pull them out like regular WDT It’s really well made , it has a magnetic design , I found the magnetic puck mechanism inside while changing the stock needles -that helps it to flick out on a button, press and flick in when you just turned it upside down and it’s really satisfying to use. I see what people mean when it’s a really good fidget spinner kind of relaxation tool. In addition they give you a magnet that you can stick on the wall, a very well made heavy stand and the device itself is magnetic. So you really don’t need these attachments, but they give them to you ,anyway And it’s all in a nice presentation box. So this will be an excellent gift for somebody who is down the Coffee rabbit hole because it’s made really well and works well.

وصلني مع عيب في زر الادخال مو شغال ويحتوي على صوت بالداخل كأن فيه شي مكسور وطبعاً هذا صوت الرخص معروف، ما انصح فيه بحكم تجربتي السيئة وحتى لو وصلني سليم ما استبعد بعد يوم يومين يخرب بيتم طلب الارجاع وبكل فخر وامتنان
