Excellent quality and easy to use.
I bought this for a 1988 Pontiac fiero. Took the old radio out, had to figure out the wiring, but everything worked great. The old antenna needed an adaptor which I found in the old radio. If you don’t have that, you might have to search a little to find the right one. But it is out there, the Bluetooth is fast to connect easy to control and the radio is great. Controls are very easy to use, and it is easy to program. I bought a different radio for my Jeep that is harder to set up and use. Very satisfied with this system. Sound is great.

No physical buttons but great otherwise!
Installed this on my wife’s 2009 Tahoe so she could also get a back up cam. Installation was easy, I’ve installed a decent amount of radios. Very straightforward. One downside is there are no actual buttons, it’s all touch screen so finding the volume buttons while driving can be a challenge. You can wire it to use your steering wheel buttons, unfortunately we don’t have them. Apple car play is cool, works with my iPhone 11. Looks just like the phone screen. Reads you your texts. Apple maps goes straight to the screen when plugged in. Oh yeah, you have to be plugged in to use Apple car play.

Awesome Headunit
Nice upgrade for a 19 year old truck (2002 F250). The installation is a little time consuming, but there are plenty YouTube videos on the installation process. Once it's, spend some time with it (obviously) There are a lot of features, especially if you are coming from stock radio or older headunit. You can calibrate each speaker level, bandpass slopes, etc. There is a lot. Apple Carplay is really nice too. All the things you need while on the road. The radio is a hair slower outside of Carplay, but nothing that really hinders its function. The backup camera function works well and as expected. There are various things you can do to make it more or less automatic, like if you wire it to a switch, to use the camera while driving.

This radio is awesome! The price was great at about $295
This radio is awesome! The price was great at about $295. Apple Car play works well! of course it has some glitches. My only dislike for this radio is that is has the brake feature that locks you out of settings and requires you to hook it up to a brake wire to know if your parking brake is on or not. I understand the safety laws in place but there should be a way to disable it (without a bypass) and give the warning of "we are not reliable for anything if this feature is turned off." Just a little ridiculous, but hey! I understand why they have to do it!

Brought my truck forward 20 years!
Installed the Pioneer MVH-1400NEX in my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo Sport. Installation was really easy. used a wiring harness adapter and soldered the Pioneer connector to that with a bit of heat shrink. The mounting brackets on my stock, double-din radio fit the Pioneer and it was simply a matter of connecting the new harness, screwing on my OE brackets and putting it in the dash. There were no surprises. The radio is slightly smaller than the stock opening on an Isuzu Rodeo. When installed, there is about 1/8" gap, top and bottom, where you can see into the dash. I 3D printed and adapter bezel and it framed it in nicely. If you want to print one for yourself, I've uploaded my file to Thingiverse. Go over there and search for Isuzu Double-Din Bezel and you'll find it. The interface on the radio is clunky and could really have been laid out better. BUT . . . the Apple CarPlay screen is fantastic. I love it. Being able to see the map, ETA and what's playing all on once screen is nice. And it makes Pandora and ITunes really easy to use. 'Hey Siri' works great. Having Siri integrated into the thing is awesome. Incoming calls are easy to answer and Siri will read texts to you as well as type them up for you. Easy. Cool. When wiring it up, be sure to actually connect the parking brake wire to your parking brake switch. If you just wire it to ground, Pioneer is on to this and it won't let you view photos or watch movies. For that, they want you to set the parking brake, release it and set it again. So you'll need it wired to the switch. I was able to use the microphone that came with it. I found a switch blank (in my case, my truck's not 4WD, so I used that switch blank) and drilled a 3/8" hole in it. The included microphone pushed right into that hole and fits tightly enough not to come back out. I then ran the wiring in the dash and zip tied it in place. Siri has no trouble hearing or understanding me and there's no wind noise or other interference when I make calls. For the connector, this one uses USB. I do't use the cigarette lighter in my dash since there is a power outlet literally 3" below it. So I removed the cigarette lighter and installed a usb-type plug in its place. I found that plug here on Amazon. I can then plug my phone into it and use CarPlay. BTW, to use CarPlay, your phone has to be wired in. No Bluetooth connection. Just an FYI,. I used an aftermarket reverse camera I found here on Amazon. I drilled a hole in the truck's fiberglass top and mounted it adjacent to the rear wiper washer. It looks stock. To use the camera, you'll need to run a wire to your reverse light lead. I wired mine into the reverse light wire at the rear tail light and it worked fine. The whole setup is really nice to use and works well. It has brought the interior usefulness of my near 20-year-old car right up to date. I am happy with it.

Excellent Receiver Upgrade!
I have a 2004 Toyota RAV4 for my "work car". I upgraded the in-dash receiver about a year or so ago and THOUGHT I was happy. In November, I rented a vehicle, for a long trip, and it had an Apple Play receiver in the dash. From the minute I plugged in my iPhone, I was sold and knew I was well overdue for another update! I purchased the Pioneer MVH1400NEX and absolutely love this receiver. The installation was simple, straight forward and was completed in less than one hour. The touch screen is extremely responsive and intuitive. The colors are vibrant and easily visual during daylight hours. Whether I am connecting via Bluetooth or Apple Play the receiver responds quickly and efficiently each time. As other have stated, you are required to either connect an emergency brake connection OR install a bypass to prevent certain functions from being blocked. I have no desire to attempt to watch videos and drive, but they also block Bluetooth settings as well. That IS a problem on long trips for me. I installed a license plate frame backup camera, this past weekend, and the installation to my new Pioneer couldn't have been easier. I love the installation, the appearance, the performance and convenience of my new Pioneer MVH1400NEX and recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their sound system.

Perfect!
The unit is a dream to use. Installation is not difficult for the handy geek. My 14 year old car had already had an aftermarket radio installed along with an interface, so it was trickier that a simple swap. YouTube is so handy with details. The unit itself is fantastic. The interface is easy to use on its own, but on Apple Car Play, it is a dream, ESPECIALLY with IOS 13, which I am using in its public beta releases. The split screen is intuitive, offering navigation on one half and calendar, audio, or turn-by-turn commands sharing 1/4 + 1/4. The screen brightness adjusts to ambient light, VERY important in my convertible. I absolutely love it.

Great buy!
This is a great unit!! I installed this in my 2005 Ram 1500. If you want a nice updated experience and look in your vehicle then this is definitely worth it. The Apple Play is super convenient. I originally bought a cheaper unit from a lower end brand and was greatly disappointed. I found this Pioneer and decided to spend a little more on a quality head unit. I was not disappointed. I removed the old cigarette lighter and replaced it with a USB plug for the Apple Play connection. I found the plug here on Amazon. Great head unit!! I plan on using this unit for many years.
