This is an exceptional product. Exquisite texture, taste and aroma. Very well presented and well protected for transit, with the expiration date on the second layer of the external packaging as well as on the fine little glass container. It worked wonderfully well on pappardelle with parmigiano, garlic, crushed black pepper and extra virgin olive oil. Anyone who respects their palate and culinary skills must make this a regular item on their shopping list. I know I will.

I had read a number of reviews by disappointed purchasers of truffles in jars by different providers so was a bit wary. I love fresh truffles and am very pleased with these as an alternative. They are thinly sliced, have a good flavour but it’s not overpowering. Wanted to make an extra special Dover sole recipe with tiger prawns and these truffles were perfect with it. I would definitely buy them again.

I have been buying truffle hunter truffles for quite a while now but I do get annoyed by the price going up and down every few weeks I do wish amazon would stop this it just puts regular customers off buying again. Anyway, I saw these as a cheaper alternative so I thought I would give them a go. Taste wise they are pretty much the same and I enjoyed them very much. They are large sliced truffles so just keep that in mind so you dont use too many. I would buy them again at the price I paid.

Intensely truffle-tasting.

I believe this product should be withdrawn and be examined by the relevant authorities,. as you open the jar the nausiating smell of artifitial flavouring "added flavouring" hits you - a strong smell of chemical that is not normal and unlike anything else, comes out of the jar ;even my daughter standing 2 meters away complained of a vile smell which lingers on in your nostril and this is defenetly not what truffle would smell. I HAD TO CLOSE THE JAR AND THROW IT AWAY ,DID NOT DARE TO EVEN TRY A BIT IN CASE OF BEING SICK. what a shame that it ruined the expected experience of tasting otherwise something exquisite and unique and earthy.

This was bought as a birthday gift for my husband who wanted to try cooking with truffles! It arrived quickly and was well packaged. He has only used it once but is very pleased with it. The flavour is nice- it is quite strong which may be the oil? But we would recommend.

Would have liked to use them on a starter Christmas Day but the odour was revolting had to throw away .
