This little grill is the most impressive that I've ever used. The infrared plates are magic. But - they get filthy, and every year I soak them in chemicals, scrub them, and blast them with a high pressure power washer... and it has basically zero effect.These replacement are so cheap compared to the OEM version. The fit perfectly, they drop right in. And because it is 3 plates instead of 2 - it is much easier to remove them.If you have this grill you know how great it is. These replacement IR shields actually work very well in converting our older Char-Broil into an IR Grill! I ordered these as an experiment, to see if they would improve the evenness of cooking on our old unit. They do an admirable job, and since stainless steel won't corrode unless it is overheated, as long as I'm careful with the heat settings on my grill's burners, these should outlast the grill itself!
