CD4930 Black Corded Phone with Digital Answering System, Caller ID, Extra-Large Tilt Backlit Display & Big Buttons

We love this phone. Everything works great and all you have to do is connect it to the phone line and outlet. The caller ID worked right away, the answering machine works great. I would recommend this phone to everyone. Very aimple to figure out and the numbers are big enough to read.

Arrived brand new, carefully packaged and shipped...I took it out of the box...all parts complete...Best of all, I set it up, programmed it, plugged it in...tested it out, all within 15-20 minutes! I made a call from my cell phone to test the answering machine and it worked perfectly...Large, well lit display and large easy to read numbers. The only slight issue is the volume could be a bit louder on both the ringer and the voice mail...For me, it's no big deal but my husband is hearing impaired and it might be a slight issue for him, although ---only if he's upstairs out of range. All said, this phone will work perfectly for us as our land line and answering machine...also, I did not have any trouble mounting it on my wall jack...it does stick out from the wall a tiny bit but definitely not a deal breaker...Bottom line, this is exactly what I wanted and needed to replace my 10 year old ATT phone, which still worked fine but I wanted the answering machine feature.

I wanted to get rid of my cordless/answering combo and have a hanging phone again. The hanging was simple, I would suggest a command strip if you do not have a top & bottom nail,screw or plate with 2 hangers. Phone will swing. The answering machine was easy to set up... if you read the instructions! Do not use the up & down arrows like I did, use the number pad. I had to do the date 3 times before I caught on and read the instructions because I couldnt change it from AM to PM. I didnt enter any lists, the answering machine is easy to use. The listen to messages blinks!! Easy! One thing ...ORDER A DSL FILTER if you order this phone & do not have one already. I had a screeching noise on the answering machine, because my router/modem, it is a thing, even though it is not close to the phone & on it's own jack. The hand set is a nice weight, I was glad it was not the lightweight ones, the back light is great, the name of the phone stays on the phone as mentioned, but the backlight goes off so I do not see it and it does not bother me. It looks really nice flat as well. I got the black one. I really like this phone.

AWESOME, AWESOME EASY SET UP FOR SENIORS, LOUD SPEAKER FINALLY.......you know AT&T have always had the best phone systems in my opinion....I have had a few in my now 81 plus years. This landline is also VOIP, compatible, you can use the answering machine or not and you can still call into and out of the phone.....for those that do not want to be bothered, it is so simple to put the components together, I will write more tomorrow after I finish it, and I have already made and recieved testing calls with it only being set up to see if it does send and receive calls with only being plugged in and not having the answering machine or times or messages set yet......SOUND and SIMPLE was my main need for a very simple system.

This really is the perfect phone. I purchased two of these. This updated review is written nearly 5 years after purchase. Both phones still work perfectly after 5 years. Here's what I like: 1) It's corded for reliable clarity (unlike cordless) 2) Uses AC power (no batteries) for Caller ID/Speaker/Answer machine, etc. 3) Phone works without AC power (without above features) 4) Volume is strong and easy to adjust 5) Simple, easy to operate 6) Has Redial, Speed Dial, etc. 7) Large, well-lit screen (easy to read) 8) Date/Time auto-populates (at 1st call), then remains on the screen 9) Has built-in answering system (no need for external system) 10) Caller ID displays on large screen, easy to read Has lots of other features too. I can't think of anything I need that this phone does not have. I've seen many reviews here suggesting that this is cheap and will break soon, but this is not my experience, after 5 years. These kinds of phones are becoming more and more rare. Not many Corded, Landline Phones available anymore. I don't understand why everyone wants to put up with batteries, recharging, poor reception, etc. (cordless phones suck). With this phone, you don't have any of those problems. Everything works and it is reliable. I'm hoping Corded Landline Phones become more popular again. I would hate to see them go away.

I love the this phone. It is of good quality. The answering machine is great & easy to set up. I love that you can hear the caller speaking while leaving a message. You can also pick the phone up in the middle of the caller's message to interrupt it/retrieve the call if you like, which is a really nice feature. The display lighting is very easy to see with the orange background and black type font. The answering machine can be easily turned on or off from the touch of a button. This allows me to switch back and forth between my virtual answering service and my local answering machine. Great BUY!!! All my ATT Phones have been money well spent over the years and this was no different. I'm going to buy one more for my office. This is not a paid review. This is an honest review from a happy customer : )

Quality product, I like it.

Had an issue with phone, they acted professionally and resolved with issue right away. I was impressed with their communication and have no issue doing business with them again.

is connected and running. setting up not difficult. now telephone is on to receive messages.

Display panel doesn't work. It's blank. Getting noise on dial tone.
