Best wifi in my opinion
The design on this is great it will work small places , the speed and signal strength is a lot better, notifications of connectivity so that makes the security amazing because you can deny access from your phone and most importantly the set up was easy.

Stay Away from the Frustration
Foremost, go with TP-Link Deko, and do not by Orbi. TP Link has MUCH better app for set up, much easier to manage, and no issues.Orbi was a nightmare from powering it on. Seemed great, love to have the option of a app interface. Power up, follow instructions to a "T", and won't get past the "rename WiFi" step. Hard reset to move forward. Same. Hard Reset. Same. On the 4th time, I finally had enough, and took a swig of my Four Roses to give me the courage to call Tech Support. 1.75 hours later, I had WiFi, but couldn't use my old network name. You know how miserable it is to reconnect 103 devices throughout a 4200 sq ft home?If only that was the end of the issues. Dropped signals. Satellites not connecting. Orbi not issuing devices an IP address. I work from home (in the IT field). This system was IMPOSSIBLE to live with. After 2 months, I trashed it and bought a TP Link system. I recommend you do the same.

Very good system for my house
I replaced an older set of Orbi's (slower) with this new set. They are must faster and give me the full band width of my provider through out my home. Setup was easy as I had a learning curve from my original set. I did experience one problem: I have a long house. My internet connection comes into one end of the house. I set the main router there and put two satellite units inline down the centerline of the house. The second satellite unit (furthest away from the main unit) does not connect to the intermediate placed unit. Rather it connects to the main router--sometimes with 'good' reception and other times with 'poor' reception. After a couple of hours with Orbi tech help, I found out that the satellite units always tries to connect to the main router, even if another satellite is providing a stronger signal--supposedly 'this provides a faster connection.' Do not understand why this is the case since I do get a 'poor' connection to the main router at times on the second satellite unit. Looks like I wasted my money on getting a second satellite unit. Even with this problem, I am getting full bandwidth throughout the house.

Netgear Orbi: easy install, some problems through walls
There are so many ORBI options amongst the myriad of router / satellite options. My first issue was I filtered by stars on Amazon so was given a choice of a few. I cross referenced some options the cable and internet technician gave me, my friends recommendations, and my own research online. I believe I got a decent system but the price was higher than expected. Worst part of the process was a week later the price discounted 20%. Also when filtering by stars again on Amazon, I found a few more options from ORBI for some reason. In the end, it’s easy to install once you download the software, plug it in, and sync the system. Took an extra day for it to properly sync with my outdoor security cameras but overall this mesh network is a much better system than the router with external expanders. Speed has held in the 75 mbs range on the satellite and for the direct router its well over 225 mbs consistently. Wireless connectivity was achieved and that’s all you can ask for. I’ve heard there are security issues but so far so good.

Be Careful with Like New
Be careful with the like new items. Mine was already registered by a previous customer and that voided the warranty. Would be nice of Amazon to inform the customer of this and Netgear would not honor my receipt as proof of purchase. It's already hooked up with some help from Netgear technical support because it was previously registered and it works great. To lazy to hook up a new one, so I kept it.

Tri Band Mesh solved all my issues
I'm not a IT geek but I have an electronics background (aircraft avionics systems and telemetry) and I had recently decided to get rid of my cable box and go to streaming serivces. Even though I had increased my internet speed to(500Mbps) to support 4k UHD which is overkill for my house hold (I was having constant issues with buffering on my streaming services, signal drop-outs on my cell phones and my computers running slower than normal on the internet. My internet speed tests were consistently down between 20Mbps to 75Mbps and occassionally would run at 150Mbps. Cable guy came out (service center said it was my lines) said that their Router and Modem weren't the best and recomended that I go to a Mesh System.I went with this Orbi Wifi 6 mesh system with two satellite units. My Wifi Speeds are consistently at 540Mbps or higher depending on where I am in the house, no buffering, no drop outs, no poor wifi connections when wifi calling! Fantasic phone app that allows me to track Wifi Performance room by room,. I still have the stock cable modem from the serivce provider which I will be replacing with an equivalent Motorola Wifi-6 cable modem to match the performance of the router both the Orbi and Motorola are compatible with WPA3 technology when it becomes the standard. My streaming services are humming in 4KUHD. Worth every penny. One drawback is zero setup documentation other than a quick set up guide. My system didn't set up so quickly, and there was no documentation to explain what the different color light indications meant. So being a little tech savy helps. I finally figured it out how to get all three units to synchronize after an hour. Still well worth the learning curve Money well spent.

A game changer - beats everything else I’ve tried
Worth the money! I have a very long apartment and after buying so many WiFi extenders that just didn’t do the trick, this one finally did and it was so easy to set up on my own. The speed is fast in all areas of my home, full strength of connectivity and I’m enjoying the extra security features.
