After years of using travel sized steamers I thought it was time to invest in one that would last me for years to come and I’m so glad I found this one. I love that I can set it to heat up while I finish other things and the steam won’t release until press the button. The accessories are great as well

I watched several reviews on this Rowenta Handheld Steamer…they were all positive. It was also recommended by my daughter who purchased an earlier model. She researches to death, everything she purchases. If she endorses a product, I know it’s of good quality worthwhile purchasing. It works as described, does a very good job of eliminating wrinkles, is simple to use and seems to be of excellent quality. I use distilled water though tap water is recommended. This eliminates any possibility of mineral deposits which can shorten the life of any appliance that holds water. I tend to err on the side of caution. I purchased a Rowenta iron several years ago. It was very expensive compared to other brands, but it was superior in quality and functionality. I am a home sewer and have purchased at least 8 irons over the past 30 years. I also ironed all my husband’s dress shirts for work before he retired. I would never substitute my iron with a steamer. 100% fine cotton dress shirts require a quality steam iron as do 100% cotton garments, however there is a need for a hand held steamer if you want to have wrinkle free 100% wool jackets, blazers, dress pants, skirts and other pieces of clothing that don’t lend themselves to ironing. There were some reviewer’s complaints regarding the size of the water reservoir which holds just under 200 cc’s of water. What reviewers fail to realize is this: The larger the water reservoir, the heavier the steamer. I don’t want to have to lift a steamer which holds 400-500 cc’s of water. Water is heavy! It’s much less effort to refill it as it runs out of water. When I use my steam iron, I have to refill it every time I iron 1 cotton dress shirt, so it’s no big deal to me to have to refill this steamer. (I use allot of steam when I iron!) I highly recommend this brand & model of handheld clothes steamers. Remember to use caution if you are steaming synthetics. I would hold the steamer farther away from synthetic fabrics just in case it is too hot. For this price point this is an excellent value for the money. The same steamer is $124.00 CDN plus 13 % tax, do the math. I know this is a great value!

I am so excited to have the Rowenta Steamer. It is so lightweight and portable with a long cord. It comes with two settings, TURBO and DELICATE and one can definitely see the difference in output. It begins working in less than a minute at steam temp. I like the crease tool for creases, too. It comes with an over-the-door hanger which is very sturdy, along with a fabric brush and a delicate brush. I appreciate its anti-bacterial, anti-virus capacity, especially in our COVID 19 environment. I have a dog and a cat. I am anxious to use it to reduce washing their beds and reducing odors as they are way too large for my washer capacity. The heat plate gets HOT!. I accidentally touched it after turning it off. The instructions clearly state DO NOT touch it as it gets HOT. My mind saw the heat-plate, not as an iron plate, but more like a non-iron plate. lol. It burns, but it cooled down after 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I have to return for a replacement as mine was spitting. I attempted to decalcify it, but rust started spitting. I am certain it must have been a return which was sent, rather than a new one, in error. But I can't wait for the replacement. I will update when it returns. This is an UPDATE. I just received my new replacement in a matter of a few days from this review. I am amazed at the customer support. Thank you.

UPDATE: I've updated my original review (below) from a '1' to a '4' because after I posted my review a few months ago, I decided to give the steamer a good flat 'whack' or palm slap' on the bottom, the darn thing started steaming again and has been working fine for several months now. Had I not had the issue of the steamer suddenly stop working, I would rate it a '5' APRIL 2025: I bought this Rowenta Steamer in 2022 and used it three times in my home....tried to use it today (April 2025) and there is NO steam at all (yes, I filled the tank). The top of the unit is warm, almost hot....but no steam. I emptied the tank after each use so I know there's no issue with calcium build up or stale water. The two little nozzles where the tank connects to the steamer are clean.

Used once, and it stopped working. Unbelievable. It still looks brand new. It gets warm, but it won't produce any steam. I only used it when I first bought it to make sure it worked. Unfortunately, I've had it so long. I more than likely won't get a refund. I'll reach out to the company.

Good and convenient

I had a Rowenta steamer in the past; probably for about 8 years when I discovered it was not working. I used it maybe 2-3x a year if that, but I figured I had it for a while.. moved a few times, maybe it got broken when I moved. When it WAS working, I was really happy with it, so I opted to purchase another Rowenta. I purchased the new one in Sept 2021. I used it a few times when I first got it, then again, maybe 2-3x a year, if that. It was stored completely dried out and in the original box. I opened it last year one day I was running late.. I thought maybe I hadn't given it proper time to heat up all the way. I pulled it out again about a month ago and let it "warm up" for about 20 minutes. It got luke warm, it never steamed at all. For something that was kept in perfect condition and used maybe 6 times, I'm really frustrated that this one quit working. I'm tempted to call it junk, but when they're working, they're very powerful and felt very "worth" the money spent. I'm just totally disappointed in the fact that I barely used 2 of them and both quit working when properly taken care of.

First off, I bought this steamer to replace a series of cheaper ones that I’d been using and replacing nearly yearly. First impression out of the box was that this was much nicer, more robust and heavy duty. I did notice water condensation in the tank when I first opened the box. My husband pointed out that they probably test it at the factory. Lo and behold, it said this in tiny print on the box. So, it wasn’t used but just quality-controlled! Using the steamer was really nice compared to my previous ones. I like the on/off button and auto shut-off for when I step away. I’m quite keen on the bubbling sound it makes when I steam, as I know it’s drawing on the water reservoir and it sounds like a friendly kettle. The unit is a bit heavier on account of its better construction, but that doesn’t phase me for normal daily use. For travel, it would be a bit bulky/heavy and I’d consider purchasing a smaller/folding travel version instead. I would recommend this steamer as well as Roweta products. I also have an iron which I adore!

I’ve tried to explain it to their customer services, but they don’t seem to understand that it is actually a criminal offence to sell electrical equipment in the UK without a UK plug. Hopefully this review will prompt someone to have a look at the Law!

El producto cumple todos sus especificaciones, respecto al tema del planchado hay que recargarlo sobre una superfie como una pared o una puerta para eliminar bien las arrugas pero si lo hace. Aproximadamente te sirve para planchar bien 3 prendas antes de volver a llenar el tanque. Es facil de usar y el envío tardo menos de lo esperado.

The product is sold by amazon.co.uk but comes with US plug. Also it states on the cable that it accepts 120V and does not mention anything about 220V. So using a simple plug converter will not work most likely as UK voltage is 220.
