FILTERWEARS Pre-Filter F124K For SPECTRE Air Filter HPR0891 HPR9891

I live out in west Texas where you can watch a dog away for days. I looked into this cover for my existing filter and read good reviews about it so I decided to give it a shot. Since I can't do anything about the sand storms out here I decided to protect my existing filter because I'm tired of cleaning it every other month. I've had this cover over my filter now for 2 weeks and I've driven thru a few sand storms already. I can notice a little difference meaning that pre iously my filter would have had some sand trapped in the filter whereas today my filter looks clean(er).

I love my Spectre cold air intake, but noticed the filter would get damp at the carwash. The moisture would affect my air flow sensor and cause my '06 GMC Sierra to misfire for a few minutes. I considered making something to shield the filter from the water, but found the Filterwears pre-filter during an internet search. It is fantastic! It fits perfectly and no more water issues! I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs to protect their filter from moisture or high dust levels.

Prefilter seemed to be of good quality and under good quality control. It fit the Spectre cold air intake on my 2007 Ford F-150 perfectly. The Spectre filter number that is on that kit, for a cross reference, is HPR9891. Very efficient packaging as well. No wasted nonsense for what was being delivered.

Easy install, 2010 Chevy Silverado with Spectre HPR-9891 filter. Hoping this will extend the time between filter cleanings. Stickers look good on my tool cabinet as well.

Couldn’t find a cover for a Spectre Performance HPR9606, purchased this since it’s dimensions were a bit larger. Covered the filter well, just had to bunch it up at the bottom.Very fine mesh keeps out the dust and is water resistant.

I like the fitment and the fact that it came in packed down to a size that didn't waste any packaging. Seems like a quality pre filter.
