Sound and charging adapter
Arrived on time, suitably packaged. I use this everyday, it is near permanently in the mobile socket. Allows charging and using headphones at the same time. I am able to use the phone without disturbing others and whilst on charge, in bed, at night, a noisy location, in a car, etc. The 2 leads have magnets so "try" to stay together but can be split apart. Seems good quality and no perceived sound interference with my Samsung 23FE. Very pleased.

Excellent adaptor
Consistent with manufacturer claims. Can charge and listen at the same time. No humming or buzzing noise whilst charging. Tested and validated on iPhone and iPad with max power consumption of up to 35W. Have not tested with 60W charging to verify max power. Controls on my headphones also worked but that is very subjective experience. Quality of sound is impressive, streaming services sound normal since those compress the audio but Hi-Res audio sound crisp as expected.

Great sound quality, Phone charging issues?
I wanted a pocket friendly portable headphones DAC for my new phone as I have always preferred wired headphones to Bluetooth ones. Mainly because you don’t have to charge them and you can switch between devices without having to re pair them every time. Also there more suited to gaming as well. I thought about getting the ifi Go Link or Go Link max as they have very strong reviews but the wire that connects them looked very flimsy to me especially given there prices so I looked for an alternative. I came across this from UGreen and was impressed by the robust looking design. The strong metal body, the braided cables, the snap together magnetic design and the ability to charge your device while listening to your headphones and finally the amazing price. When I received my product I found it to be just as strong as I hoped it would be. I plugged it into my phone and attached my Sennheiser open back headphones to play some music. The sound was fantastic with perfect stereo separation and not a hint of distortion. Also the volume was surprisingly loud. I couldn’t listen to them at full volume, it was too much for my ears. Recently I got some entry level austrian audio closed back headphones and found the volume not to be as high but still just loud enough for my taste at max volume. I like heavy metal to usually like it loud. One issue I had though was when I charged my phone overnight with the adaptor plugged in. It seemed to be charging just fine but in the morning my phone wasn’t working. I unplugged the device and plugged my phone into my charger again for an hour and when I came back to it it still hadn’t powered on. I had to keep the power button pressed down for a while until it turned back on again. This was really strange. I can only assume my phone must have either been drained by the device even though it was plugged into the charger or It had simply crashed due to the device being left plugged into. I do not know if the problem is with the product or my phone. Other people may not have the same issue but I have not attempted to charge my phone with it connected since as it isn’t necessary to leave it plugged into the charger anyway. I believe UGreen do a similar product without the usb charging bit so if you don’t need this additional feature I would probably have a look at that (cheaper) one instead as this product is fantastic otherwise. Is it as good as the ifi Go Link products? Honestly have no idea but it is cheaper and great value for money.

Works well
It worked straight out of the box, and it's well made. No problems.

Annoyed
The adapter constantly disconnects and reconnects and makes popping sounds. I usually don't have a problem with UGREEN products but this one is not working right. I would not have written this review if it was a regular faulty item however I have clearly been sold a used item by the looks of it, it has signs of wear and the packaging has some sort of residue and is wet. This isn't acceptable. Whether it's Amazon's fault or UGREENS doesn't matter the point is buying this item from here isn't a good idea when this sort of thing is going on. I have also seen another review stating the same thing. Extremely disappointed.

Exactly what I needed!
The fact that phones don't come with a proper audio jack these days should be treated as a crime. It used to be so easy; you kept a little pouch with your earbuds in, and when you wanted to listen on the train / wherever, you popped them out, they unwound, you plugged them in, and you were listening. There was no need for charging up (possibly explosive, it seems) earpods, and no need for USB adaptors to have to fish out and plug in first. Basically, by cheaping out on the design of the phones to reduce water ingress etc, phone manufacturers have made our experience worse and forced us into using substandard audio cables. So, like all people in my situation, I went and bought a USB to audio adaptor. Your phone has an expensive DAC to produce nice audio when listening to music / sound, but when you plug in USB headphones, there's no "audio out" that routes the sound from the onboard chip to the phones, like with a normal 3.5mm jack, there's no way to have a simple USB to Audio wire, the USB plug has to contain a full sound card. That's why the plug end that goes into the phone is so big. So, rather than using the gorgeous well-powered DAC you paid thousands for, you're now reduced to the 30-cent chinese mass-produced DAC that the adaptor manufacturer put in there. If they put an expensive one in, your adaptor cable would cost more than the headphones. The other problem is that the USB audio controller also has to manage things like the pause/play/fastforward buttons on speakerphones and clever headphones with inline controllers. This is just a feature to help people mute and adjust volume without needing to log into the phone every time. As you'll have seen, there are lots of cheap cables on here. It's a misconception to think that a USB to audio cable is "just an adaptor". It's not. Inside the USB plug is a mini-cpu doing DAC and ADC for speakerphones, as well as controlling HID devices (play/pause). And if the cable is a power splitter like this one, it's also got to manage all the USB power profiles... IS the phone being charged, or is it charging something else.. etc. Finally, if the USB is more than a charging port, the CPU has to act as a USB hub, managing the connectivity and power to four or more downstream devices. You think that spending £2.99 on a cheap cable with a £0.15 CPU is going to net you a device that's as good as your £1000 smart phone? Not even close. So, the net result is that the phone may not recognise the cheap USB audio device. It may not properly support all the standard functions of a USB audio profile, charging can be hit and miss (you get 'slow' charging, or the charging starts/stops all the time), or the audio can be a bit poor (cracking, popping, gaps in audio, muddy sound, distortions, inability to make out some higher-pitched details in music), or the control buttons misfire (phone swiping left/right, audio muting/unmuting randomly, music starting/stopping, tracks skipping). So, when you're getting one of these cables, just remember, you spend £1000 on your phone, and this cable is going to fundamentally replace one of the more noticeable parts of the phone, the audio subsystem. So don't just pick a cheap one. Go upmarket a little. That's why I went with these. I've bought MANY cables like this over the last few years. Some for laptops with malfunctioning audio cards, some for family, a few for me. They've all had their little quirks, except this one. The design is excellent: The cable shrouds are firm, so it's not going to break when I push/pull it in and out of the phone, the connectors click into place nicely, so you can tell when it's plugged in, even in the dark. The audio is pretty darn good. It wouldn't beat a proper sound card, but to my ears, it sounds as clear through this as through the phone's inbuilt speaker. Charging works perfectly, and the phone notices when it's attached to a proper USB-C charging port and can be charged at full rate. But the best bit, is the magnetic attraction between the two tails. It just keeps the whole thing neat, and (I've found) is a nice little fidget toy when you're idly listening to music / audio. Yes, it costs a little more than the other devices, but in this market you REALLY do get what you pay for. I hope that you understand a little more about what these cables are, and will appreciate that spending an extra few pounds can be very worth it.

Conclusion Après plusieurs semaines d’utilisation quotidienne depuis février 2025, cet adaptateur remplit parfaitement son rôle.
