I found little to no difficulties setting it up and mastering how to use it. Review: Save your money for what's better! - The first couple weeks it worked great! Good for a beginner who wants to begin recording and cheap. However, maybe too cheap. After about 5 weeks the product stopped working at all and my computer could no longer detect it. When buying a product like this, I'd recommend saving your money and buying a higher quality product! I now have an Elgato and it is much more user friendly and better quality!

Well it is a start...
It was an ok device. While I could not find a way to record HD I was impressed by the software. I was able to get good and long supported videos from this device, yet I felt like it could have been better. It was cool that it had a built in microphone but it did echo a lot which did bug me. I did though, enjoy the fact that it worked for an old tv, which was convenient because I had an older model, set I could not record on another hd tv, which kind of saddened me. To be honest, it is defiantly not the best capture card out there, and even though I am moving on to another device, this helped me to get a start at this and I do recomend that you use this device, as a start, just remember to use an old TV, or you could have problems.

This Video Capture Device does what it says it does. I followed the instructions and it works just fine. I converted a recording from an old video camera (made in the 1980s) to a digital video that I posted on You Tube Metric Pioneer.

Four Wasted Hours
This product is complete crap. As an semi-pro videographer for 11 years and an IT support provider for 8, I thought this user-friendly device would be a snap, and I was only concerned with poor picture quality. Unfortunately I drastically overestimated the quality of this chunk of worthlessness. The drivers are a joke if you're using Windows 7, particularly for the audio. It took quite a bit of bouncing around the interwebs, but I finally found a driver that would actually make the audio come through the device. However, it stuttered constantly and was completely worthless. After finding no help with the stuttering audio, I decided to bypass the capture device's audio completely and capture the sound through my computer's sound card. That worked beautifully, except that the included Arcsoft crapware claims that I was trying to copy protected content. Apparently it interprets any damaged frames as Macrovision protection instead of just old tapes and shuts off the capture every few seconds. I considered contacting Arcsoft directly about this, but their support page doesn't even try to hide the fact that it will take FIVE TO SIX DAYS just to reply to you. The device seems intentionally designed not to work with any other capture software, so at this point it is a worthless piece of plastic. FORTUNATELY, Amazon is a first-class example of how you take care of your customers and they've prepaid return shipping and will be refunding the cost of the item with no hassles whatsoever. Thank you Amazon!

It works
I find this product very well to use, however, I find that the quality is very low and not the top quality. However, it works well enough temporarily and I would only recommend this for those who do not want to make a very big thing out of this such as making just small play-throughs or just recordings of short things for games like a match on Super Smash bros. Brawl or a match on Call of Duty. Overall, though, the ShowBiz CD is very useful and it will work if you have the proper equipment like the splitteers and extra two red, yellow, and white coords (Forgive me, I forget the correct name for these coords) and the editing for the video is very nice from what I have seen my friends do after a recording. I do recommend this for small groups who want to record and only have this as a side hobby or who want to test out recording. I will just say one thing. I do not have experience with other recording devices like Dazzle, HD PVRs, Black Magic CaptureCard, or any other product so I cannot be sure if this is the worst fo such a price. ~Eien (DeathbyFall)

Unfortunatly Disappointed
I gave this product two stars because of the hardware and its associated drivers, and not the software. Unfortunately, I didn't get much of a chance to play with the software, but once it was installed, it looked exactly like another program I used when I had an iMac many years ago - that software was extremely easy to use and had a good bit of editing options. So, no complaints with the software. But, the USB Audio Device drivers would NOT install correctly. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and went through every trouble shooting thing windows would throw at me (Windows 7, by the way) multiple times. I had the bright idea after a few tries to install the software and the drivers onto my Windows Vista laptop, but that didn't work, either. The drivers installed just fine, but the software refused to install. And both of my systems definitely met the minimum system requirements. So, go figure. At the end of the day, if the audio drivers would've installed, I wouldn't have gotten rid of this product, but being able to capture video but no audio with regard to capturing video games is just a no-go. I need the complete package for video game capture. I hope this helps!

When I first received I was having a problem with it capturing as it would also stop and say my home tape was copy protected. Sent a query online and received a solution and fix by email within a few days. Made the small fix to a file from the software that was loaded on my computer from the software and it has worked great since.

Complete and utter garbage. The ArcSoft software that comes with the device will not install, it does not even recognize the product key and I have tried many times in different formats. ArcSoft support site is broken!!!! and does not respond. DaveW

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! There are way better products out there, ones that actually work! This is just a cheap knock-off of the real easycap, so don't get fooled. Turn away before its too late.
