Nice appliance. So far, used to cut carrots, white potatoes, sweet potatoes and the tip of my pinky finger while rinsing the blade set part of the appliance. Not kidding, those blades are razor sharp. Have ordered protective gloves. Appliance makes consistent slices just shy of 1/2" thick or less. Slicing the vegetables I did required a technique to get consistent slices. Can't just drop the food in the tray and crank the handle. That would probably work ok for cabbage and similar soft bulky foods, but not hard tubular shaped foods.

We have 10,000 SF of veggie gardens on our homestead here in East Tennessee. This manual slicer really speeds up processing our vegetables for our yearly food supply. I prefer this manual tool over electric food

Stop cutting your fingers with other slicers! This device works great and is super fast! The instructions are poor, but you’ll figure it out. Safety is built in, so I don’t cut my fingers anymore.

i love this thing. i recently got into the freeze dryer thing. the amount of prep it takes is wild. this slicer did a whole large bag of frozen garlic in a matter of minutes instead of having to do them by hand and stinking for days. also i have done onions, tomatoes, oranges, ginger, grapes, apples, and potatoes. knocked them out in no time. the blades are very sharp so always use caution and be mindful of where your hands are when working with it. we run it thru the sprayer on the sink immediately after using or changing type of food we are slicing. it is a little hard to pull the handle back but it is definitely manageable. not really worth stressing over.

PERFECT for slicing fruits for my small dehydrated fruit business. very sharp and easy to use. Im happy they sent me extra blades. Im not sure how I will sharpen them in the future though

Steal of the century. Forget the rest this is the best.

They screwed into the face of the machine right behind the blade. The screw is just a little bit off so it chipped the blade first use. Was able to screw it in a little better so the blade wouldn't hit it. But you can still hear it scrape every so often. Also the machine sits too low, needs a stand for anything higher than an inch. Without a proper stand it can suction cup to anything but then that "anything" moves around. I gave it a 3 because it still cuts very nice and is spring loaded. But has some issues that could be easily fixed.
