I really like this matcha and the taste and enery effect is very high quality. I started with the Aiya Ceremonial grade and really liked that as well, but I preferred the taste of this culinary grade. That may be sacrilege for serious Match drinkers, but I simply use matcha as an every morning substitute for coffee (I don't think I would ever go back to coffee.) Compared to the Ceremonial grade, this culinary grade has more of a familiar green tea flavor versus one grassy/bitter to my personal palate. Another thing I noticed is how much easier this is to mix than the ceremonial and did not clump as much even when using an electric whisk. For less than 1/2 the price I can't justify the cerimonial and this is now my go to for daily drinking. In my pic, the ceremonial is the one a bit greener on the right.

I fell in love with iced green tea lattes after trying one at Starbucks, but the weekly cost can add up, so I've been making my own at home and this matcha is perfect! It's worth every penny and lasts a long time, since you only need to use about 1/2 tsp. per serving. Even better, I can use organic milk and organic homemade simple syrup - control the amount of milk and sugar I use. This is top quality and organic. I was concerned about radiation being in the tea supply after the earthquake in Japan and this company inspects its supply. You can get more information on their website. Anyway, I plan to make green tea ice cream with it very soon. I highly recommend this product!

tastes great, not sweet so this tea is great if you don't like it too sweet. If you like sweet go with one that points out that it is sweet.

This matcha is really better used for cooking than for drinks. It is good quality matcha, but it has an undesirable aftertaste if you use it in drinks. Why use it in drinks? B/c it's basically "culinary" grade matcha, instead of the super premium ceremonial grade, so it should still taste good in drinks, and from all i've read about matcha, culinary grade is still supposed to taste good. I would buy this again if i was going to cook with it, but for drinking i'm just gonna spend the extra money for the ceremonial grade.
