Great economy phone with most smart phone features
This phone lasted for four and a half years for me. If finally died today, as it not longer boots up. So, it is time for my review. The LG Optimus L90 D415 4G GSM Android Smartphone is an great economy phone that gives you access to basic smartphone features for an incredibly low price. I got mine for $70 in 2016. It fulfilled most roles that you need from a smartphone, but not all. As I personally don't need all the bells and whistles on my phone, this was perfect for me.Processing Power: Great. I could have multiple apps open and the response time was always fast.Storage space: Great. The 8gb internal storage and capacity for a micro-SD card meant I never had a serious problem with downloading all the apps I wanted.Internet Browsing: Great. The internet worked well and reliably, on both data (4g) and Wi-fi.Email: Great. I had my gmail synced to my phone and never had a problem with receiving messages.Messaging: Decent. I only had a few hiccups with multi-media messaging. The keyboard software was easy to use, highly customizable.Gaming: Decent. I ran a GBA and NDS emulator on it just fine. However, it struggled with mobile games like Titanfall Assault. Pokémon Go worked, but was spotty (see GPS).Camera: Decent. The camera is not the greatest, but that didn't bother me.GPS: Bad. This is the phone's lowest score. The GPS signal is weak and inconsistent. Using apps that required GPS, like Google Maps and Pokémon Go, was always a craps-shoot. I mostly just did without. My overall rating for this phone is 4 stars for being hardy and reliable, even if it wasn't the strongest in some points. RIP LG Optimus, you were a good phone.

Big but not Bulky
Big screen but not bulky. Even with an Aero Armor protective case if still fits nicely into my back pocket. It arrived with KitKat but I'm already been able to upgrade to Lollipop. Love the interface. Still learning it. Phone is quick and responsive. Screen (even with protector sheet) is crisp and easy to read. Glare is less than other phones I've experienced. Battery, microSD slot and SIM slot are easy to access. I purchased this phone as refurbished, so a great deal.

Good budget phone with development community support
I got this phone to replace 5+ year old technology -- a Samsung Galaxy S2 with GPS that was really starting to flake out on me. I got a lot of mileage out of the S2 because the development community was great about creating new ROMs for it long after Samsung stopped updating it. But it was showing its age, and the D415 is a great budget-friendly replacement.Being a couple of years old itself, the D415 is very reasonably priced, and although it no longer receives official updates from LG, there is a decent amount of interest in the development community for creating custom ROMs that will run on it. It didn't take me long to try all of the various Android 6 builds that were out there and finally settle on Cyanogenmod 13 as the best one. I'm really glad that I took the plunge and updated to a Marshmallow build because the battery life I get from it on this phone is amazing. I've been using the phone for a few weeks and I'm still geeking out about it. My S2 would barely last me through my work day on a single charge with just light use, but my D415 easily lasts an entire day on a single charge with the same amount of use, and I often look at the battery report in settings to find that it is projected to last even longer than 1 day.The hardware does leave some things to be desired, even compared to the 5+ year old Galaxy S2. The screen isn't as nice, there is no NFC support, there is no ambient light sensor (meaning no auto brightness), and the cameras don't seem as nice either. It would be nice if it had more internal storage, but honestly I haven't wanted for space to install my apps on this device the way I did on the S2, so I still think it's a step up. The RAM is a little small at 1GB.The hardware has a lot going for it, too. For me it's the little things that are important. I carry my phone in my pocket, and I hate how big phone have gotten in recent years. This phone is almost exactly the same size as the Galaxy S2 and strikes a good balance between screen and pocket real estate. The D415 has a PHYSICAL home button, and in this respect it surpasses the S2. Physical home buttons are becoming more and more rare on phones, and I don't understand why -- I want to be able to easily find the home button with only my sense of touch. The D415 also has an extra button above the volume buttons, and with the right software, you can map this to whatever you want -- I set mine to toggle flashlight on a long press, even when the phone is locked and screen is off. There is an IR blaster that I can use to control my TV. Finally, the sound quality on this phone is very good; if I had any complaint about it, it would be that the call volume is TOO LOUD, even at the lowest setting. I had to put a small piece of tape over the earpiece to rein things in a bit.Considering that I paid less than $100 for the phone, a screen protector and a case, I'm very happy with what I've been able to achieve with this device, and I won't be surprised if I'm able to upgrade it to Android N in a few months when the Cyanogenmod 14 builds mature.

Terrific Cellphone
This was a great cell phone. Unfortunately 2 days after receiving the phone, my "adult" nephew tripped while holding it and cracked the screen. He has been having problems with it since then but it is not the fault of the phone. He clumsily tripped while rushing around and therefore is in no position to blame the phone. It was working spectacularly before the "fall". Now he is having a problem uploading photos he has the luck to take with celebrities. So his face book friends dont know who he is hobnobbing with. The phone is great!

Great entry level smart phone for a kid or those looking for a solid phone at a bargain price
It's not a flagship phone, but for the price it is a steal. Bought this as 9th bday present for my daughter who was already accustomed to playing on my LG G4 and Galaxy S7 and nothing but smiles all around from everybody. It's not as fast or strong as a flagship phone, but for under $100 who can complain. The kid has her games and her music, and I have my phone back :)

... my first smartphone and I must say it works excellent. Good for those on a budget yet still ...
This is my first smartphone and I must say it works excellent. Good for those on a budget yet still want a smartphone with decent to high end specs. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and have dropped it twice on floor and it still worked fine, which impressed me a lot. It is not too small, yet not too big, which fits nicely in my pocket. The only downside I see, for now, is the low megapixel for the camera. I just wish the megapixel was higher and sharper. The camera works best in daylight. Sound quality is pretty clear and loud. I love the simple knock code to turn on and turn off the smartphone. Even though it says it accepts 4G, I'm only able to get 2G service despite my monthly plan saying its 4G. I like the battery saving feature and it works perfectly for simple internet browsing, games and call and text.
