6.7m Foldable Multipurpose Multifunction Aluminium BIG HINGE Ladder with Twin Stabilizers Step Ladder KS6.7

Arrived in a week - delivery was signed for. Had a little difficulty in predicting when it was going to be delivered, but seller was helpful. The main downside is that the ladder must be folded out before raising it into place. This makes it a two man process as wielding 7m of ladder from horizontal to vertical is not easy on your own. Sliding ladders are much easier to deploy. It is not excessively heavy, but there is a lot of metal there so don't think it is feather light. However, it is very configurable (as you can see). It is sturdy, and packs up very neatly. Its small folded height means will fit in all garages vertically, and when folded up it will self stand. If you don't have much space to store a ladder this is the one to get.

You shouldn't have to buy decent ladders more than once in a lifetime, and personally these fit the bill for me. There is a long stabilising bar with rubberised feet to fit on either end of the ladder when you first get the ladders. Coupled with a standoff ( I bought http://www.amazon.co.uk/Davies-Universal-V-Shaped-Down-Stand/dp/B0098IOR4U?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01) working at heights isn't such a daunting prospect when clearing gutters etc. They are light & fold up neatly to be stored in a small shed, although when fully extended are very awkward to manhandle with one person - it is possible, but I would recommend having help whenever possible. Nothing to do with physical stregnth, just the height has all the weight above your 14st etc body! Extremely well manufactured as you'd expect from a German product - very secure clips as you bend each section into place. 3 sections were tall enough to install a camera on a regular UK semi - the 4 sections with a standoff are plenty tall enough for gutter clearing. Great pair of ladders - the weight and awkwardness when fully extended is mirrored on normal ladders, so the added benefit of easy storage is a massive plus point.

When I looked at these ladders I thought great just what I need a handy size to get in and out of house, I used to have triple extension ladders and the where always to big. There is advantages to these but there is also the disadvantages and that is why it lost a star. You have to lower these ladders by six steps at a time and the main disadvantage it takes two to put ladders up safely. Even so I love the idea for room they are not easy to handle on your own, when I first started placing them against my house once you get so high it fell back, lucky enough the was a wall to stop them going all the way because it would of landed on my head, I only got them successfully up at full height with another person. They will do the job once they are up and I weigh 19,5 stone and I feel safe on them, but sadly the negative side to these ladders have to be looked at as well as the positive.

Outstanding ladder for the price. I'm a big lad, (19stones+) but have no problems using this unit. It's longer than I thought! Using all four sections puts the ladder about 4' above the gutters on my house - I folded it back to 3 sections and used a standoff and it was perfect for cleaning the gutters. The wide stabilisers make for an extremely stable platform to work from. The variations available for using this ladder are brilliant: You could even (with a plastic sheet) form it into a square to make a paddling pool! No problems whatever in awarding it, and the seller, 5 stars.

Arrived with a rung dented and bent but perhaps not a significant structural problem. Hinges are big and feel reassuringly strong. Stabilizers 70cm long which is fine for straight, stand off and step configurations but platform needs more IMO. Once stabilizers lengthened and a platform made, this was okay. Step configuration is particularly useful. Thin guage aluminium will need careful handling not to damage further but gives easy carrying benefits. Would choose heavier guage another time.

Perfect exactly what we wanted and folds down enough to fit in the shed comfortably. Lots of outside jobs now completed.

Good quality and value for money

The worst ladders I've ever bought. I wanted a set of ladders that I would have forever, a big set, that I could reach the top of my house with. I had researched and came to a conclusion that these were not only long but could fold up pretty compact too... I had big hopes for this set. First of all, although they're compact, they're pretty wide so they take up a lot of space anyway. Secondly, actually using this set is harder than the job you're doing anyway. I have sought assistance direct from the company who suggest that I should get someone strong to put them up This is the direct quote on the email: "If the ladder is fully extended on the ground then the best is to have somebody standing on one end with feet on it and another person would take the other end and walk up towards by lifting the ladder up. This would be the most convenient way. Otherwise it can be lifted up at the spot by a stronger person" So you will need 6m clearance in front of what ever you're doing, to lift the ladders up. Thirdly, the joints on the ladders don't fill you with confidence when you're up them I feel disheartened that I've wasted £140 of my money
