Does Roku Indoor Camera record all the time?

It only starts recording when triggered by motion or sound. With a Roku Smart Home Subscription, the recordings are stored in the cloud for 14 days. If you’d like your camera to record 24/7, you'll need to record to a local SD card (not provided).

Can Roku Indoor Camera record through a window?

Roku Indoor Camera can detect motion through a window, but it may experience more interference from glares or reflections. For outdoor security, we recommend Roku Outdoor Camera or Roku Outdoor Wired Camera.

Do indoor cameras need internet?

A Wi-Fi connection is needed to operate all Roku Smart Home devices. Roku Smart Home devices operate on a 2.4GHz network, so if you have both a 5GHz and 2.4GHz connection, make sure to connect to your 2.4GHz network during setup.

Can you use Roku Indoor Camera outside?

Roku Indoor Camera is not intended for outdoor use. For outdoor monitoring, we recommend the Roku Outdoor Wired Camera, which comes with a weatherproof power adaptor, or the battery-powered Roku Outdoor Camera.
