Used this on a all over truck repair and refinish. Work well and has a wide range of speeds. I recommend 1-3 as the higher speeds are aggressive depending on you grit of sandpaper.

This sander is plenty powerful, and if used for normal sanding jobs in a wood or automotive shop it looks like it will last a long time. The thought of using many small holes in the pad and open surface screen mesh sanding material is a fascinating idea. It keeps the sanding surface clean and the residual dust way down. All good things. MaxXT offers grits from 80 to 800 and I'm sure other screen backed grit sizes can be found on the internet, either cut to size or to be trimmed to size by the customer. I only had one problem with this unit, and that was my own fault. I used it to sand down the plastic strip that was sealing the bottom of my front door (for needed clearance so the door would not catch on it). It was a very resilient material and extremely hard to sand off. I wound up pushing too hard and wore off some of the hook and loop material on the pad. Only time will tell if I have to replace it. The good news is that I ran the sander hard for a long time and it never got hot...just a normal kind of warm. Also, the unit works well for sanding into corners. I would not hesitate to recommend this tool to anyone. I am very happy with it.

I researched sanders... this sheet sander is perfect for polishing and small projects. I own an oribital sander too. I did some homework on the MAXXT brand before placing this order... I found a woodworker on YouTube who demonstrated how an Orbital sander stopped working after 30 minutes on continual use. He said customer service was awesome and send him a replacement... but the replacement quit in the exact same manner after the same amount of time. I was reluctant to order this... but I don't use a sheet sander like an orbital sander. I use this for very small projects. So far it's holding up well for me. If it quits, I will return to this review and change my rating to 1-star with a "do not buy" not in the title. At the time of this review, it is a good price at $190. The exact same item (350W R7307) is listed on the maxxttools(dot)com site for $219 (reduced from $260).
