Arrived well packed and in solid packaging. All parts listed in instructions were included with extras and an allen wrench. I provided a philips head screwdriver. The assembly is pretty basic. All parts are numbered and need to ensure you are matching the holes shown on the diagram match the direction of the pieces as you put them together. Only completely tighten each fastener as each step is completed. I assembled it by myself in under 1 hour while watching TV. Once completely assembled I ensured all the fasteners were tight and it is a solid, sturdy shelf. This is a great storage option for books, magazines, DVD and game cases, etc. Not a plant stand. It's easy to keep dust-free. Put the heaviest items at the bottom. I used the strap that was included to secure it at the top, to the wall because, haz cat. The three way bulb adds a lot of ambiance to a room and doesn't create any heat. The wood grain looks nice and is thick so it doesn't scratch and also won't peel. It has a relatively small footprint for something that provides so much storage and room lighting. Is a great space-saver. This would make a great gift! (I also couldn't decide between this version or the version with hidden led lighting and no lamp.. but really needed the lamp. So, I diy'd this version by purchasing a 3ft stick-on led light strip separately and stuck it on the back myself to have that option too! The whole thing is a solid vibe now.)

I purchased the Evermagin 6 Tier Tree Bookshelf with Light because I needed something tall and narrow for a small corner, and it has exceeded my expectations. The design is modern and minimal, but still makes a statement. It holds a surprising number of books without looking bulky. The built-in lighting is honestly my favorite part. It has three different light settings, so I can switch between a warm cozy glow, a bright neutral tone for reading, or a cool light that feels more modern. It really transforms the look of the shelf and the room depending on the setting. Assembly was straightforward, everything lined up correctly, and it feels sturdy once put together. The footprint is small, so it’s great for apartments, hallways, or awkward spaces where a regular bookshelf won’t fit. Overall, it’s functional, space-saving, and actually stylish, which is rare at this price point. Highly recommend if you want a unique bookshelf that doubles as décor and lighting!

I really love this lamp/bookshelf combo! It has a pleasing character to it. I've located it beside my desk, because I wanted a milder light than the ceiling light for occasional late night work sessions on my laptop. I chose the version with the tree branch patter on the lightshade, and it looks terrific. The one drawback I anticipated when I studied the ad for it was that the bottom "shelf" is actually at floor level, which wasn't actually useful for me. But that was easily solved by putting the whole thing on a sturdy stool. This also raised the light to a better height for my purposes. I did the assembly myself, and made no attempt to rush through it. Just as well that I took my time, because keeping track of the way the pieces fit together is important. I had to redo one shelf that I put in backwards, but it wasn't that difficult to correct. However, doing it by myself at a leisurely pace, it took me four hours to assemble, so be prepared with a suitable block of time for the task. Once the assembly is done and all the screws are tightened (as per the instructions), it is very sturdy. A very satisfying addition to my apartment!

Gave 4 stars because I haven't used it yet. Overall this was pretty easy to assemble, it says 2 person assembly but I did it myself. Looks like the picture. Even came with a led bulb!! Seems durable and fairly heavy. I got it for my 10 year olds reading nook since she likes to spend time in her room reading and crafting. I like that it will be good for her to use no matter her age.

I have to admit, I had to ask my son in law to put this together. I pride myself in "doing it myself" but I just couldn't get this together on my own. But! he did it pretty quickly and easily, so Yay! And, I LOVE IT! This was a birthday gift to myself and I made the right choice. It fits perfect in my newly created bedroom reading nook, the light is great, and has 3 different settings, the shade is good quality and neutral to fit any decor, it comes with a bulb so you're ready to go. It's very sturdy and the bottom "box" shelf is perfect for extra storage. The perfect finishing touch.

There are a lot of parts necessary in building this but I did it myself. The instructions are excellent and each and every part is labeled. Once completed , it’s an excellent space saving book shelf with lots of storage space. It fits nicely in almost any small area and provides light in those dark corners. The wood itself is smooth with a rich dark hue. Included are “stays” if you feel it’s necessary to attach to wall. This is a totally complete space saving standing unit. Perfect for displaying photo albums or magazines as well as books and knickknacks.

The bookcase was very easy to assemble. The instructions were easy to follow and it went together quickly. All the parts were packed well. It’s not super stable, we’ve accidentally knocked it over a couple of times while trying to turn on the light. It wasn’t damaged. I recommend using the wall mount and maybe picking up an additional bracket/wire set up. The shelves do not feel very strong. I am nervous of putting too many, or large books on them. The cat did try to climb them and the shelves made worrying cracking sounds but there is no obvious damage. Overall I think it functions as expected. It is both a book display shelf and a nice lamp. It’s a good quality for the price. Great for dorms or living rooms of the budget conscious. The bulb that is included is a bit dim for my taste but the other roommate thinks it’s perfect for reading at night.

I love books almost as much as I love things that save space! This was super easy for one person to put together and it's very sturdy once completed. All the screw holes lined up perfectly. Like other reviews have said, I do put heavier books on the bottom shelves so it's not top heavy. The laminate on the wood seems really thick, so it should stand up to whatever happens to it. I love the style of wall anchor that came with it also. Now that it's put together, I love how it looks in my room and I want more! Two things I think need improvement: the lamp shade is quite flimsy and does not flatten out completely once installed, so that kinda bugs me. Also. I feel like a second, split washer should have been included to make the light fixture more sturdy once screwed in. With a washer on only one side of the wood it kind of wobbles. Consider buying a large split washer to fix this issue. NOTE ABOUT COLOR TEMPERATURE: This was not mentioned anywhere in the item description OR manual. To change this, you must turn the pull string on and off to cycle through the colors. I didn't know that was a feature when I bought it, but it's kind of annoying. If you miss the color you want, you have to cycle back through all the others to get to it again.
