I’ve had the very same kind of hat before. They are wonderful hats being very light and well-fitting. These hats cannot be blown off by a wind because they have a toggle fastener on the chin strap that holds them tight. They give protection to your face ears and neck. And they fold up small and flat in a little case so that they can be kept in a purse or glove compartment of a car. I’ve had several of these hats for years but they have disappeared. I’ve looked in many stores but nobody carries them any more. Thank you for having these hats available. I would buy more if you had some made of printed fabric. They can be quite eye catching in different colors and patterns.

While this hat is practical in sooo many ways: easy storage, emergency head protection, cute fabric...it's also not very attractive on my head. I wouldn't wear this if I was trying to look stylish for sure. It sits weird and can't be bent to make it remotely cute. I plan to keep it in my car for that last minute need to cover up against sunburn or heatstroke.

Warning: wire is not the bend-able kind that allows one to shape the hat, or bend down one side of the hat to best shade the face. This wire has one position only in it's "open" state, a rigid circle, and it always springs back to it, which, sadly is too high an angle to actually shade one's face from the sun. If you, like me, are shopping for a bend-able wire rim hat to keep the sun off your face, this is NOT that kind of hat. If anything, this hat reflects more sun onto one's face. It does, however fold down to a neat little circle to fit inside the zip pouch, so it was easy to package for return. Inside the packaging there is a picture of a woman wearing the hat that more accurately depicts the "shade line" of the hat (almost up to her eyebrows); the vendor should use that image in the product description so buyers have a better idea of the kind of hat this is (more for fashion statement than for protecting one's face from the sun...it definitely offered this buyer NO sun protection...the angle of the hat lets the sun right in).

Thinnest fabric for a gardening hat. Which makes it easy to wash and doesn't heat up your head. It took me a year to find this hat. I bought one for all my friends.
