Great way to turn a Webcam into a surveillance camera.
I bought this in order to place a Lifecam Cinema HD webcam for temporary outside use in sunny weather, and it works great for this purpose. I was a bit confused by the picture showing two coils; when i unpacked the cable I saw there is an active repeater in the center of the cable, and a second repeater at the end. The repeater in the center is hard-wired. The cable itself is a braided shielded cable with a transparent outer plastic covering - this should help avoid interference problems and allow for some limited exposure to water, as long as you are careful with the connectors at the middle and both ends. When buying one of these cables keep in mind a few things: 1) the cable length limits the rate at which data can reliably be transmitted (which is why you don't see 3.0), and the length also adds a tiny bit of latency, so some bi-directional devices may not work reliably if they cannot live with the extra latency. (certain printer protocols come to mind here) 2) Also, the active repeaters draw a little bit of the USB ports power, so the actual max power available to the USB device plugged into it is lower than a regular USB port. This lower power might also cause problems with higher-draw devices which get their power from the USB cable. It should have no effect on low powered devices (webcams for example) or externally powered devices like most printers. 3) Don't forget about the repeater in the middle if you are pulling your cable through a small hole in a wall - any such hole should be near half of the cable closest to the PC, and you may have to pull your cable backwards towards the PC.

Great cable
Need to extend my SDR Radio outside. This length of cable made it happen. No connect issues everything seems to work just fine. I am actually run the 66 ft cable into a standard 20 ft extender and again it work flawlessly

Great solution for long distance USB.
This works great! I have a home studio. I mic my drum kit to my presonus mixing board. It has usb out. I run that all the way across my basement to my control room, all tucked away up in the rafters. It gets to my computer and has no latency or hiccups or other glitchy things happen so far. It’s been great. I’m super happy with this.

Seems to work fine so far
Seems to work fine so far. Connected a USB device to a PC 30 feet away so as not to have to repeatedly connect a tablet to the device.

Works perfectly over greats lengths.
Love this cable I ran it across my house, along with an HDMI 2.0 4k and used it on my TV so I can play my PC games with and xbox controler, and better graphics, and stull use my mouse and keyboard all the way across the house. The TV in the living room is now my computer, and my desktop runs all the way back in my room. NOTE: I did notice that I can only run three usb devices with a hub conected over this lenght if the hub is not powered. BUY A POWERED HUB if you are gong to be using more ant three devices at this length.

Works perfect!
If you know what to expect from 2.0, and you don't try to make this cable to do what it isn't meant for (which amounts to every bad review on here), then you'll be completely satisfied with this very economical little bad boy! I'm using it to run the full 65 feet from my pc to an audio interface, which is very latency dependent and fidgety to boot. This cable handles it just fine!

Can't tell the computer is in the other room
I wanted to connect my desktop in the office to the new HDTV in the den and play the video games on the computer on the bigger screen. I bought these to hook up the keyboard, and got a usb hub with four switches so that I could toggle the second keyboard and mouse off and on (and to be able to use a mouse, since many keyboards don't have a usb plug for it anymore, expecting that the mouse and keyboard can be wireless because they'll be in the same room as the computer). This setup has done exactly what I hoped. I can play the movies, music and games from the computer, even surf the web. The only problem I have is reading the really tiny type, or in one mmo, being able to see what was in my inventory bc the thing was so small. And these have nothing to do with the USB cable--which I would recommend for anyone implementing a similar project. Oh--and they arrived super fast, even during the holidays. Good stuff!

Tripp Lite Sales mis-represented the product
I first purchased a different model Tripp-Lite USB extender (did not do my homework for it was 1.0). I needed to connect a USB Web Cam HD at 60 ft. The first model purchased did not work at all. I called Tripp-lite sales and explained what I needed. They confirmed that this model is what I needed. I received this model and it did not work. Yes I can see the image but the framerate is so bad that it is useless for Webcam HD. If I bring down the resolution to less than 320xXXX then the frame rate is ok, but at higher resolutions framerate is less than 3 fps. Does not work for this purpose. Its going back.

Great product
The cable is sturdy and well made. It looks good and works exactly as advertised. We were able to run this from the computer at the back of our church's sanctuary around the wall and up to the platform, completely eliminating dropouts from the slide remote or digital flipchart!

Great for Transit Bus Diagnostic Programs.
Works great ! No delay in communication through the repeater. We use it with our Laptops for our Multiplex Diagnostic Programs when working on our 40 and 60 foot long Transit Buses.
