Libera Me

As suggested in my earlier review of Izzy's "New Dawn", this delightful lady has become a firm favourite. Her performance on this cd is no exception (although it did precede "New Dawn" by several years) - but I have only recently had the opportunity to acquire it - hence my approaching this review from the wrong direction, as it were. I don't know what it is, but there is something different and totally appealing about her voice, which is beautifully mesmerizing.

I have a large music collection and pride myself on my musical knowledge so how come I had never heard of Izzy Cooper. It took an old lady of 84 to loan me the Ascolta album and one listen and I was hooked. I just had to get Libera Me. I was not disappointed.

My favourite song on this album is Bailero. Such a beautiful album.

Hadn't known this artist at all. Was pleasantly appreciative of her beautiful voice and pieces. A Lovely addition to my collection.

A friend lent me this, and I was instantly hooked. One of the finest female voices I've ever heard. Soothing, Relaxing, etherial, Basically... Perfect! Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the choice of songs, a steady stream of popular chamber music adds a familiar, friendly feel.I recommend listening on a high end system as the music surrounds you and carries you away after a long day. I holly recommend this, and her next two albums, Ascolta and New dawn.
