Plantains Real Sea Salt Vegetable Chips 5 oz

Love these chips. They have the right amount of salt, which is important, in my opinion. The are also thin and crispy. I have a hard time not eating most of the bag.

These are an amazing substitute for potato chips. This brand is the only brand that tastes, chews and feels like crispy thin chips. And they are always fresh with not too much salt. I always forget I’m eating plantain and not potatoes. This is a must keep in stock for our home.

Very tasty and not too salty

These are really delicious! I have tried a lot of plantain chips over the years and these arrived in decent time, and aren’t way too salty, they’re not super thick or thin, and they’re very crispy and fresh. They actually smell like the plantain, and they’re not soft even though the bag has been open more than one day they are still crunchy.

Just like Rapunzel's mom was obsessively addicted to radishes when she was pregnant...that is how I now am for these plantain chips. I can't stop. I NEED them, every day. My main hardship is in stopping myself from eating the whole bag in one sitting, if only because if I do that I know I'll have one less bag and have to wait for Amazon to deliver more! I have started ordering 5 bags at a time, but still this is not enough, and my anxiety over running out before the next Amazon delivery is giving me nightmares. Sure, maybe you could blame my obsession with these salty perfect plantain chips on the fact that I'm pregnant...or maybe on the fact that I haven't been able to have potato products the last couple years due to digestion issues and these tasts JUST LIKE potato chips to me (only better, and not greasy!) maybe once I deliver this baby the addiction and constant NEED for these chips will be cured. Only time will tell. But for now I remain an indentured obsessed plantain chip fanatic. My husband should be grateful these aren't located in the witches garden next door, though ordering so many so often might just bankrupt us. Haha...try them at your own risk.

I love some of the other Terra chip varieties and I can demolish a whole bag in one sitting sometimes but these plantains do not taste how I was expecting. I was expecting sweetish dried banana chips like I've had before, but these are not sweet. They are kind of plain tasting and almost bitter? It definitely limits the amount I can eat in one sitting. The texture is also kind of strange. They're thick cut, crunchy outside, but definitely require a lot of chewing. Maybe I just don't like plantains. If you do, you might have a different opinion. I'll stick with the other vegetable chips.

Those who are riled because the bag has few chips a didn’t notice the label - it says 5 ounces, which is what’s in the bag. They’re not cheap because plantains aren’t as cheap as potatoes, and unlike some plantain chips, these don’t grind the plantain to a pulp, mix in a bunch of additives and extrude “chips”. Three ingredients in these chips: green plantains, coconut oil and sea salt. I have been craving plantain chips but since I stopped eating preservatives and chemical additives, I hadn’t found a brand that worked for me. These do, they’re delicious, and I’m happy to recommend them.

These plantain chips are my go-to snack! They're light, thin, and have a nice crispness that makes them really satisfying. The sea salt is well-balanced—not too much, just enough to bring out the natural flavor of the plantains. I appreciate that they're not greasy and feel like a cleaner, healthier chip option. I’ve repurchased multiple times and they’re always consistently good.
