I really love this bonsai kit! 🌱 It comes with absolutely everything you need – seeds, little pots, soil, a wooden tray, and even the tiny tools for shaping your bonsai. I didn’t have to buy anything extra, which made it super convenient. Planting the seeds and taking care of the little trees is surprisingly relaxing. I find it very calming and satisfying to watch them grow. It’s also a fun and hands-on way to enjoy a hobby without any stress. Overall, I’m very happy with this kit and would recommend it to anyone who wants to try bonsai or just enjoy a peaceful, creative activity.

4 stars because one of the seeds didn't sprout (the wisteria) other than that all seeds have sprouted even the flame tree finally sprouted after quite some time. This is my first time growing anything so it's to be expected that I've probably made some mistakes with these. The wisteria I planted didn't sprout and ended up molding in the planter but thankfully I could remove the mold and seeds and I used that planter for different seeds. I'm currently trying to germinate the wisteria in a paper towel but no luck so far after almost a month. The pigeon pea is the first one that grew and it shot up super fast and got really tall! I'm overall very pleased with this kit other than the wisteria not sprouting but I am a first time gardener and I've heard they are hard to get to sprout. I've put some photos of when the seedlings started sprouting on February 10th, February 12th and today March 6th. I would recommend this kit because it is very simple you just plant and they grow! I think it's definitely a value for money because they give you a ton of seeds and plenty of chances to get some sprouts. It has definitely added some nature to my room and made it feel more alive and less stuffy. A few of the seeds take time to sprout but I have them in the pots and in a paper towel just to try different methods of sprouting them. Definitely a great bonsai kit!

I bought this bonsai starter kit as a fun project to do with my kids, and it ended up being such a great experience for all of us. I was a little sceptical because of the comments about some seeds, particular the wisteria not germinating. That was the one I really wanted to work out. But I wondered how many of the comments were from people lacking patience or not following instructions vs how many legit had bad seeds. First, the packaging was beautiful and will last a lifetime for reuse. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, coming both in booklet form and QR code. I planted 5 of each as per instructions July 25th and within a week germination started and by day 10 most of them were under grow lights. Every single seed germinated, except the wisteria (there’s a happy ending, don’t fear). At about 15-20 days I actually had to cull them all down to 2/3 per pot so the strongest would thrive. They had to come on a road trip for a week too. I wasn’t about to take any chances with them. By August 17th I had to repot to 4 inch pots, separating them all. I only used acadama, pumice, lava rock… and gave them a little fertilizer All but 4 survived the repotting and thrived. I decided to try the spare seeds to see if I could get a wisteria to germinate. I cleaned out the container and found 3 seeds had germinated after all but were growing breach. No idea why. And they were huge! Yay! Turned them right side up, gave them a good soaking spray and now they’re almost as big as the others. You could literally see them grow. The change hour by hour and day after day was remarkable. I decided to repot them again Sept 6th; the soil drainage made me have to water daily. This time they went into their starter homes, bonsai training pots and I used a mix of 3/4 coco core and 1/4 bonsai soil. It’s been two weeks and they’re all happy. Almost too happy. It’s like I have a forest. I would have been happy if even one of each kind survived. I still have so many seeds left but I’d need a bigger house. Can not recommend this purchase enough. I’d give it 10* if I could. If you’re waffling, just put on your patience pants, read the instructions well and give them a try. But make sure you plan ahead for re potting. You’ll likely need to sooner than you might expect.

Me regale este kit para tener un nuevo hobby y poner a prueba mi paciencia así como la dedicación con la naturaleza. A favor: - el kit viene completo con todo lo que necesitas para comenzar - El estuche de madera puede servir como una maceta por si misma - Vienen suficientes semillas para plantar varios arboles - El instructivo es muy bonito, simple, buenas fotografías y sencillo de seguir - Viene con semillas extras por si una variedad completa no germina. En contra. - No todas las semillas germinarán, así que planta varias. En mi caso dos de las variedades germinaron en 1 semana, el resto tardaron 3 semanas mas. - El instructivo es un tanto escueto, ya que no indica la técnica del bonsái ni que hacer una vez que ya germinaron y plantaste en una maceta.
