A great all-rounder in terms of strength, ease of use, and affordability, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, otherwise referred to as ABS, is a petroleum-based thermoplastic material that is commonly used to create automotive components, protective headgear, plumbing pipes, and even children's toys such as Lego Bricks. A firm favourite in the 3D printing industry, ABS filament is ideally suited to heated plastic extrusion printing applications, and as it can be processed in a wide range of temperatures from 200-250°C, it can be used to produce the highest quality 3D objects and structures that can be sanded, painted, glued, machined, or reworked to create a unique three dimensional print. ABS 3D printing filament is suitable for use with a wide variety of 3D printers thanks to its high strength, flexibility, and smooth finish. Commonly used by designers and engineers to create mechanical parts and interlocking structures, it can be sanded and glued to meet the most demanding designs. It can be dissolved with acetone to make ABS glue, which is ideal for 'welding' smaller parts and components together. As one of the most popular 3D printing materials in the world, ABS is suitable for both professional and intermediate users, but due to the high temperatures used when extruding this filament, a heated bed is recommended, as is a fume hood or well-ventilated workspace to disperse smells that some users may find unpleasant. When used in 3D Pens, it is the perfect choice for creating vertical structures due to its quick drying rigidity. Available in 1.75mm and 3.00mm and a variety of length (5m, 10m, 20m & 1kg net spool). Over 30 colour choices including: Black, Blue, Bronze, Brown, Burlywood, Chocolate, Coffee, Cyan, Dark Orange, Gold, Golden Yellow, Green, Grey, Khaki, Light Green, Lime, Magenta, Maroon, Natural, Navy, Olive, Orange, Orchid, Pearl White, Pink, Purple, Red, Royal Blue, Silver, Sky Blue, Tan, Transparent, Violet, et al.
