We bought the Surviveware Waterproof First Aid Kit for on our boat. If you are reading this you are researching Waterproof first aid kits (we were in the same position as you doing our research). Probably like us, you've looked at several others maybe not even waterproof, and seeing the price tag compared to 90% of the others and wondering... We came back several times to this one, looking at others, looking at the company website and a range of other things. With one question in mind .. is it worth it .. YES !! Let's start with the quality of the case, RUGGED / DURABLE and WATERPROOF. Its small enough to store and carry around (it won't fit in your pocket like some other that are pictured bigger than they are). Reviews have mentioned the zipper... please its waterproof, its snugger to open than a normal zipper but with some wax or chap stick its relatively easy to open. The inside has clearly labeled compartments for all included first aid accessories. There is also an area for personal and other medications. All well laid out and easy to access. Then the contents; its very complete. We read reviews of it not containing items such as ointments, pills and other PERISHABLE items. These are picked up for a few dollars at your local pharmacy or supermarket and you know you have YOUR brand and they will still have a long shelf life. However the items included are not your typical as cheap as it can get items that we saw in other kits. High quality band-aids, gauze and other items are included that you know will work (we have all seen the band-aids that don't even stick) when you need them ! Its an absolutely First Class First Aid Kit and would definitely recommend.

I like this first aid because no matter where I go, by the ocean, a river or just hiking through the mountains, I know that the important items in my first aid kit are going to stay dry no matter what. The build quality on this kit is A+. The zipper is a little tricky at first, but if you lube it up (lube included) it will be fine. One of the best features about this pack is that all of the pouches are labeled, so in a situation where you need to get first aid materials quickly you know where everything is, you wont have to take everything out to find what you are looking for. One of my favorite things about this kit is the Velcro attached molle on the back of the pack. You can easily secure it to anything and quickly tear it away when you need it. I keep mine attached to the back of my rear headrest in my car. The size of the pack is good, If i was going on a quick day hike, I do not think I would take it with me. I like to travel light and this is something I would leave at my campside/home base. For a good day hike Surviveware has smaller sized packs that will do just fine. Overall I would recommend this first aid kit, is has the essentials and will be a huge help if you ever find yourself in the situation of needing basic first aid supplies. Don't forget to replace whatever you use! And if you use anything while you are on a hike don't litter, bring a small bag with you to carry out whatever you bring in.

About six months ago I decided to upgrade the first aid kit in my short time survival bag. I began comparing many of the kits here on Amazon and then came across Surviveware and liked their products and decided to purchase their large kit. Since that purchase I have been very happy with the product and actually had a incident where I had to use it. I then started communicating with the company on their other products and noticed they were now producing a waterproof first aid kit. About that same time I started to put together a bag for my wife and decided to take a look at this kit and decided that it was the one we needed. It arrived a week ago and I started testing the waterproof claims and sunk it my bath for about 20 min and no leaks. I did notice that when I would squeeze the bag underwater I could see bubbles escaping from the bag and was concerned that it was leaking. But when I opened it I noted that the inside of the bag was completely dry. I determined that the bag was actually allowing air out but not allowing water in. The bag is very well constructed though out. When the kit arrived I had a hard time unzipping it but finally was able to get it open. Since then it has gotten easier and having the D rings makes it easier to open and close. As with my large Surviveware kit I will be customizing it with several additional items (i.e. Israeli bandage, CAT tourniquet Celox, personal medications). The bag has several ways to attach it to other devices and allows you to attach items to the bag itself (CAT tourniquet). The last but most important is that the kit has a very comprehensive first aid guide to assist you in the event you need direction. Some of the things I would change: 1. The kit comes with a pencil. I would swap that with a pen and a permanent marker. 2. I would add an additional pair of tweezers that have a smaller/sharper end. 3. Add personal medications (this is something I feel that the purchaser should do as the list of medications could be varied and large).

This first aid kit is well-thought-out and put together. It's very compact and water-resistant. I would have given it a 5-star rating except that the zipper is hard to work. I understand that, as it needs to be water tight. Over all, this is a great kit for a boat or just about anything. I would purchase it again.

This is our second first-aid kit- we purchased the smaller one earlier this year. This one is a bit big for hiking or where space is limited, so we intend on carrying the smaller one in those cases. But for everything else, this will be our go-to first aid case. As an ex-firefighter, I know the importance of being prepared- there are two important factors to consider when purchasing a first-aid kit 1) having access to a comprehensive, quality first-aid kit and 2) being able to find everything easily in an adrenaline-filled emergency situation. This first-aid kit fill both requirements- since all items are clearly marked, it saves valuable time finding the essential items. We find the products are of good quality. We thought we would only use the kit in the future during emergency situations, but as circumstances arose, right after we received the first aid kit- my wife had to have emergency surgery. We ended up using some of the sanitary wipes (hard to find during this COVID-19 pandemic), gauze, adhesive and we especially appreciated the shears (made cutting the gauze a breeze). The case is well made- has multiple points of attachment for carry on automobiles, off-road vehicles, backpacks, etc. We haven't tested the waterproof case yet, but it does appear to be well made with a waterproof zipper (includes grease for maintaining it and keeping it waterproof) that seems to be of high quality. We expect this kit to go with us everywhere for camping, off-roading and roadtrips.
