Great FPGA for beginners and small projects
I wish the IDE software was less chaotic. Steep learning curve.

Great FPGA board
My first fpga board. Easy to start with vivado. There are couple of tutorials for beginners that work well. I think it can be used even for more advanced stuff than the beginners need. Small size, great for prototyping

Amazingly useful FPGA!
I have several of these boards, and they all work great! I use them with a RISCV softcore processor to help automate testing, run projects, and other things at work and home. The onboard memories, USB serial, another items have worked flawlessly on all the boards.

Has a bug
There is a bug with this board. The USG-to-UART portion of the board drops off intermittently and communication to the board is lost. It takes a power/disconnect cycle to bring it back... then it drops off again after a few minutes. Besides the serial port communications into/out of the board, this is also the port for sending the Xilinx bit file to the board. According to Digilent, the fix is to use a USB certified USB cable. However they do not guarantee one that will work. Additionally, I have tried the 11 USB cables I have and all of them have similar problems. All that said, if you can live the intermittent problem, then it is a good little board for testing the FPGA design and/or software for the MicroBlaze.
