Multidimensional Man: A Voyage of Discovery into the Heart of Creation

A remarkably comprehensive insight into OBE & lucid dreaming
This is a really fascinating account of adventures in other dimensions. At first it seems a little less structured than Robert Monroe's classic "Journeys Out Of The Body" - as the action gets going so early on in the book. However, it soon follows a similar pattern, with the various tales not following in chronological order, a style that works well as the overall picture builds. The main difference between Ziewe's story and Monroe's, is that the former soon found he was able to access his states from sleep / via dreaming, rather than only through "out-of-body" detachment. He was also able to reach his various destinations via meditation. The interesting thing here is the grouping together of lucid dreaming with out-of-body excursions. My own feeling is that a "locale 1" OBE (as Monroe called it) - where you visit our current earth in an ethereal body, is indeed the traditional OBE, whereas "locale 2" and above are "astral" travellings, as are fully lucid dreams - different dimensions where space-time isn't the same as here.Ziewe's work is fascinating; like Monroe he is very down-to-earth, so however incredible his adventures (and they ARE incredible!), you can always sense that he really experienced these other worlds, not some deep, hallucinatory dream.Another intriguing aspect is that when you reach later chapters, it becomes very clear that Ziewe has experienced (in as far as we can define it) enlightenment. His descriptions of this are remarkably similar to those of Eckhart Tolle's opening chapter of The Power Of Now, and this raises interesting comparisons. Tolle himself describes lucid dreams as "fascinating but not liberating", whereas Ziewe's experiences end up at the same point as Tolle's but via such dreams. Having experienced numerous strange experiences (but not enlightenment) myself, I suggest that it IS possible to reach enlightenment via OBE and lucid dreaming, but only if one is so fully awake that they encounter the higher dimensions, and with the same wakefulness as when awake in the earthly sense. The only fault in this book is the appalling proof-reading (or lack of!) - but that doesn't diminish a thoroughly inspiring and utterly absorbing read.

very interesting
I came to know Jurgen Ziewe on YouTube and so, bought his first book. I am impressed (on YouTube, as well as in print) with his excellent command of English, which is not his first language. His artwork (also on YouTube) is incredible as well. He is obviously a very intelligent and resourceful man. I am about half way through the book. It is clearly written and very interesting. I will probably buy another of his. The actual book itself is bigger than the average paperback book and 230 pages of text. The print is a reasonable size. The overall quality is good. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Very inspirational book.
"Inspiring" is an understatement for this book, it is quite an uplifting and concise description of worlds yet unseen (or unremembered), reading it sparks a driving motivation for any reader to strive for their own experiences which other books do not bring. I enjoyed the fact that the author didn't waste time trying to convince us of the legitimacy of his claims; for those of us already knowledgeable in such matters it can be tedious to read an entire book wherein the author describes in acute detail how they witnessed and verified insignificant events via ESP. This book does not do that, thankfully, and instead provides us with glittering descriptions and very accurate observations of higher-dimensional mechanics. The author offers descriptions and analysis with an absence of heavy bias and sticks to "telling it like it is". The down-to-earth human approach is what makes this book unique among its genre, no cold and limiting scientific catagorization and no religious or New Age mystical fuzz. The author keeps his style relatable and realistic throughout the book, even in the midst of such fantastical anecdotes. There are quite a few printing errors but nothing that will obscure meanings. If you are looking for techniques on how to achieve extra-dimensional travel then this is not the book you need, but by all means read it if you're aspiring to be a traveler as you won't find any better fountain of inspiration and encouragement.

Best book of its kind I've ever read
I recently finished this fascinating book and only wish that he had others on the same theme to offer. Personally I felt it more interesting than Monroe and books on astral travel and quite believable in an incredible kind of way and I easily journeyed with him on his wondrous adventures in other dimensions which frequently began with a lucid dream although another reviewer thought it all lucid dreaming. I also liked his open attitude to the experience and indications of the influence of the late spiritual speaker Jiddu Krishnamurti. Highly recommended for astral travel or lucid dream enthusiasts.

Informative and well worth reading
Overall I found this book informative and well worth reading. It covers a great range of experiences including excursions to lower, earth-like, intermediate and higher dimensions of spirit life. Even a visit to another planet is included.I am pleased to read books such as this, that deal with experiences rather than a "how to" guide that so many seem to write about!! I say well done and thanks to the author.

Not so sure
Whilst it was quite a good read, one is left with the impression that the author, may be just a very good lucid dreamer, but you never know just not to sure that what he says is actual real or just well remembered lucid dreams

Sublime.
Mind blowing. A truly life changing book. I have read dozens of books on 'new age' subjects. This stands out as one of the very best. Jurgen writes about his decades of OBE experiences. Very descriptive, Jurgen meets deceased loved ones, friends and visits numerous dimensions and even other planets. An incredible book. This book will change your perspective of the world and indeed your life. The world be a much better place if this was essential reading in Schools through out the world.

Best read on knowing more about yourself
Probably one of the best books on what happens in the afterlife. I admired the author's integrity for keeping himself to his goal to gather information in various realms and not succumb to lower seductive energies that would put his marriage at risk. You know he thinks of her often, as she pops up in a dream state frequently. He has grouped his experiences by types instead of dates, which threw me off a bit because I would have liked to see a progression as a gauge for my own journeys. It turns out that it doesn't really matter. It's all about states of mind. As he points it out, clean up our psychology here. His progression is irrelevant to mine or anyone else's. It's a personal journey where he is there to get answers for himself and in turn for all of us.From the start of his journeys, he calls them Lucid Dreaming. After reading a bit, my suspicions were confirmed. You can go from lucid to OBE, it's just a matter of degrees in clarity, awareness and consciousness. I found that other people instructing how to astral travel make it difficult with all the instructions and do's and don'ts. He doesn't give instructions, just points the way. It's whatever works for you. Become aware in your dream that you're dreaming, then ask for more clarity. Keep going because it gets better with practice. This book brings together the OBE with the NDE's. It's been a bit misleading to see NDE's paint a picture of love, happiness, and working on their issues, but never explaining how or what so we get a guided idea, leaving us to assume all sorts of fantasy ideas and beliefs. Here, Ziewe tells us how this operates, while giving summations of his observations and insights. Some of the places Jurgen went to were lower realms where it appeared there were no consequences for the "freedom" to explore to one's hearts content, experiencing great emotions not felt here, and fun. Like the author, I wondered about morality and integrity. But as the author exemplifies, you don't have to eat the whole cake to know what it tastes like using a bit of care and thought to move on so you don't get stuck. Applies here and there. How many times in my youth friends try to get me to take drugs or get involved in sexual encounters and I decided against it? Later seeing them suffering and dragged into a self-condemned depression for reaching for sense pleasures and feeling empty instead of taking the high road. I call this "taking 3 rights to make a left" thinking. Jurgen makes the turns he directly to continue his explorations, in spite of the temptations to assess meaning for his soul/consciousness...and ours.I follow Emanuel Swedenborg and find both the author and Swedenborg encounters are very consistent with each other. This information is a great guidebook for better information. I only wish this type of knowledge hadn't been secreted from us over the years on this planet. It could open doors to inner knowing, inner growth, and keep us connected in integrity and love for ourselves and each other.
