Simple, Strong
These are straightforward locks, but good ones. The screws turn easily and they perform well. I got a good clamp on the window without the threat of stripping the lock or my window rail. It seems very secure and survived my testing. Even though I was initially concerned about the size (I used it on a vertical window instead of a sliding door), it worked perfectly fine.No complaints here.

Good Would Be Great if Fit More Wiindow Frame Sizes
I was looking for something to better secure some of the windows in my home. These window locks are well built and easy to use. I was not able to use them on the windows of my home because they were just a bit too small. I have vinyl window frames that are a bit wider than these locks will fit. I thought I could get these locks to fit but they fell just a tiny bit too small. However, the window in my garage still has an older metal frame. I needed to secure that window as well. These locks fit perfectly. I used one lock on the bottom of the window frame and one the top of the window frame. With these locks in place, the garage window is securely shut and cannot be opened without breaking the glass out or kicking the window frame in. I can easily remove them by loosening the screws and taking them off the window frame.I am docking one star as these locks could be made a bit bigger to accommodate more window frame sizes. The body would have to be a bit wider and the screws a bit longer to fit a larger variety of windows.

Simple design you're probably familiar with, but not perfect
If you have sliding aluminum windows, especially older ones, you've probably seen these before. They don't require much space (e.g. much of a "lip" sticking up over the window sill, to work. And, if you bother to put one on both the top and bottom, snuggly, it makes the window much harder to lift out as well. The screw threads work smoothly enough, and the overall finish is just fine.My only *very* slight complaint, is that these use two thumbscrews each. Most I've seen only use one.I *suppose* that this is a very slight improvement in security, I guess. The drawback is, unless you have very tiny fingers, trying to tighten both thumbscrews alongside one another is a bit annoying/challenging. Especially if they've been made really tight, it's hard to get a good grip to loosen. You can, of course, remove one thumbscrew, and use a single one. Realistically, it's probably 99% as secure. So, if you need something like this, this product will work fine. If you have big, or perhaps mobility limited/arthritic hands, you may want one with a single screw.

Didn’t grab window frane
Our air conditioner is broken, so we are using portable ACs this summer, which have to be vented out the window. After installing the vents, I wanted to make sure our windows could not be opened and was happy to get the chance to try out these locksUnfortunately, they don’t hold the window frame tightly… The more I screw them in, the more it just pushes off the frame. It seems like it needs some sort of silicone or rubber backing to keep it in place. As it is, it’s just metal against metal.Since I only have one style of window to test it on, it’s possible that it’s a window issue not a lock issue. That’s why I gave it three stars instead of one.

Simple and Effective
It's a very simple product and does its job well.I'm using these on a couple of Andersen sliding doors. You should be able to use them on any sliding door where you have at least 3/8" of the metal channel exposed above floor level. (If the channel is recessed into your floor and you don't have 3/8" metal vertically up from the floor, then you will not be able to attach these.)With both screws just finger-tight, the lock cannot be moved by force of the sliding door, so it is a reliable and easy locking solution.

Convenient locks
I was using window locks that use a hex key, which is inconvenient. I'm glad I got Caldever's window locks. These work great and are very easy to use. The quality of the metal is solid, and the two knobs make it very secure. I got the two-pack for my office and dining room window, but it isn't wide enough to fit the dining room window. Make sure to check the thickness of your window rails. However, I'm glad it fits my office window since I have a portable AC unit installed there and needed the lock for that window. I may DIY the second lock to fit it in the dining room window. Overall, I am very happy with the product and price.
