A real tool
I have only used this for a few days but I am impressed! The length is perfect for a 6' individual and the fork doesn't give at all in heavy use. Not light but not heavy either. The tines are sturdy and won't bend like the flats on the box store forks but they enter compacted soil easily. I typically get one season out of the box store forks but I expect this fork to be used by future generations (if I could only get them to use it now it would be perfect). Update: I have used this fork for three months now, it is my constant companion and has seen continuous heavy use. It is sturdy, well made and effective. The length makes it easy to use and provides a lot of leverage without bending the tines. Definitely the best fork I have purchased! I liked it so much I purchased a second one for my young assistant. It's not cheap but it is worth every penny! Update #2 8/10/24 My four tine fork is now a three tine fork. The far right tine lost temper and became spaghetti bending with every use. I straightened it about twenty times before it snapped. The remaining three tines are solid and it is still my go to tool. Everything else is still tight and solid. I have another fork (same model) but I continue to use this one. A disappointment but not a disaster.

High quaility garden fork
This is a great garden fork, perfect for small jobs around the yard. I'm 6'1" and I bought this fork to use on a large compost pile, about 4'x4'. Unfortunately, the fork is a little small for a compost pile that size. I'm finding that I'm having to really "get in there" and am ending up getting compost on my feet as I turn the pile. That being said, that's not the fault of the fork. I'm going to have to buy a longer compost fork at the local big box store for about $25. What I really love about this fork is the D handle, so you can lift loads well while keeping a straight back, something that's important for me with my bad back. It's the longest garden fork I could find that had a D handle, but if you find a longer one, please put that info in the comments. My only concern is that the D handle is held on by one small screw. The handle is plastic, but it's very heavy-duty; I can't imagine breaking it in any scenario. The fork is a bit heavier that one might expect, but that's due to it being high quality. A good quality fork, and I love the ergo design; it's very comfortable to use. If I ever have any problems with the handle, I'll be sure to update this review. If you have any questions about the fork, just ask in the comments and I'll do my best to answer promptly.

Sturdy Pitchfork
Super sturdy. It's a little heavy but thats what you get for the sturdiness.

Super quality tool - ignore the bad reviews
Just got it and have not used it, got it for composting but no digging. This is amazingly well constructed, and the ergonomics are outstanding. The D handle is contoured to fit your hand - the shaft is super comfortable also. Can't see how it would fail unless you were stupid with it. Would like to say the price jumped almost $20 after I purchased it. I got a deal. Score! Hope you can find one at a good price. Update 6-11-22: Used this for moving several tons of wood chips, turning garden soil, and yes, turning compost. It is a bit heavy for compost but does work. Balanced quite nicely, so the extra weight is a bonus if you want to build muscle. Would recommend a thin tined fork if you just want it for compost without the workout. Great for turning soil and moving wood chips. Sure, beats a shovel. Still recommend this highly. Price still fluctuates wildly so be patient if the price seems too high - it will come down eventually. Right now, it is less money here than from Fiskars.

Light weight hollow steel handle best for many light duty digging repetitions
Extremely light weight. The handle shaft is tubular hollow metal probably aluminum or very thin wall steel. Works amazing in Fescue sod, topsoil and clay but hit a big rock or bedrock and you will want something stronger. The fork tines seem strong enough for rock but the handle shaft would probably bend and kink in a way that would be unfixable (remember it is narrow hollow light wall metal). Think how a drinking straw bends but this would probably not snap back to shape. It seems like the fork tines have a non-stick coating because otherwise sticky nasty clay comes off easy. Overall I will use this when I have soil too hard to easily penetrate with a narrow width shovel or spade and expect to repeat the action many times like someplace I cannot use my mini tiller because of Landscape light wires. The ergo and light weight would allow for many repetitions with less user fatigue as compared to a serious solid steel handle shaft unit. I would not depend on it when hard digging out rocks or roots or other potentially immoveables.

Good product and service
Had used for a couple years and one of the tines had failed. Fiskars promptly replaced the product, they stand by there equipment and I will continue to purchase from them. As for the fork itself, it works great for our soil which is a mix of clay. Easy to use and very effective. All around would recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a garden fork for loosing soil or for digging up carrots, parsnips potatoes or even getting old sunflower roots out of the ground. This is a sturdy and well made tool that the manufacturer will stand by.

Mother of all spading forks!
Strong, big forks, comfortable to hold. Made my old spading fork look like a toy. 5’10” 175 lb female. It took forever to loosen clay soil (dampened) and double dig with my old fork (with wooden handle which broke.) With this spading fork, the work seems easy and goes 3x as fast, at least! Highly recommend it. Worth the extra money for sure.

Amazing ergonomics, rust resistant tines
The curved handle and lightweight yet rugged construction have proved very helpful. In the past I’ve used a shovel for tasks that are now much easier with this well-designed and well-constructed garden fork.

reviewed many forks before buying this one. despite I'm an average tall person, none of them is long enough for me to work in a standup position, until I came across to this one. Not only it let me work without bending my back, but also its design are very well balanced, holding in hands feels very comfortable, wish all forks can increase some length to cope with human evolution in terms of tallness. :) It's also well built, highly recommend.
