Fast delivery, loved the product. It was worth the price. You can buy a cheaper version elsewhere to be fair, but if you like a bit of difference, this is absolutely worth it.

I’m not sure what I was expecting from this mancala set, but I was still surprised when it (eventually) arrived at my door. On the whole it is a very special game, in many ways beautifully crafted. However, I had a couple of little issues that frustrated me, partly because it is ‘almost’ perfect, and partly because of the very substantial price point. First up, it is huge. Genuinely it is twice the size I thought it might be, we was both a delight (how lovely) but also a headache (where on earth will I store it)? Unfortunately the box arrived broken at one corner, ripped down the side,only an inch or so but frustrating. Furthermore, there are a great many flaps and slots to secure the lid, which is a fold over and tuck in, rather than just lift off, style (more prone to wear over time, already creased after first opening) The game board is absolutely beautiful. It smells divine. It’s very tactile with the rounded corners etc. the finishing is good, but it sadly not perfect. The hinges are a bit shoddy. Some of the little bowls aren’t sanded to smooth in the inside. Although the etching on the outside is wonderful, it is the inside you will see when you play, and there are a few little imperfections, rather than just the grain. I think most of us would consider putting the game board on display as a sculpture, almost. Note, the etchings on the top and bottom do not match, one is ‘upside down’ to the other, so you can balance the board, open, on display. You can display it with the hinge/flat edge to the top - but you can’t display it with the rounded edge to the top (figures and logo are upside down). Moving on. As others mention the little bag the game pieces are supplied in is kind of … rustic. It is not well finished. However I did receive all 48 game pieces and they are lovely and very tactile to hold (no spares though). The instruction are printed on one side of A5, black and white only, no diagrams. They’ve obviously gone to a lot of trouble to make the set look authentic and for the price I would be forgiven for thinking it should be. However the board is not carved in Africa, it is made in China. It’s not clear what type of wood is used, or whether the stones are gemstones or glass. I think we need more provenance when the board costs £42. I’ve pulled a lot of issues out, and they are all real. However if you order this, and it arrives, despite everything, I guarantee when you open the box the first word out of your mouth will be ‘Wow’!

Lovely game board, excellent quality. The initial one that was delivered to me was defective, so I returned it. I found the returns process very smooth and I was promptly refunded. I reordered and it arrived in excellent condition. This is not just a nice mancala game board; it's a heritage piece for my family that will hopefully be passed down. :-)

Arrivato in anticipo , confezione veramente stupenda, cofanetto in legno massello con disegni di caccia. Bellissime Le pietre minerali( semi) di vario colore. Semplicemente bellissimo, perfetto anche come soprammobile. Molto Soddisfatto. L'unica pecca mancanza di tre pietre, ma ho rimediato con dei sassolini normali .

I searched quite extensively for a mancala set for our daughter. This one checked all of the boxes. It is attractive which makes for a nice gift presentation. I wouldn't say it's compact, however it folds in half into a narrow shape with magnets that makes it easy to store. The board is solid wood with little carved designs on the outside. The game pieces are irregular shapes of real polished stone which are both beautiful to look at and comfortable to hold. They aren't too big or too small and so much more interesting than the flat glass stones for floral arrangements some sets come with. If you play mancala you know that eventually you accumulate a handful that can be a challenge for smaller hands. Most importantly, they're not round! I can't understand how some sellers are using marbles. Why?🤷‍♀️ Anyhow, this set has been a joy to play with and at such a reasonable price I would easily repurchase for gifting.
