I know others have also asked .... I purchased this pillow which is fibre filled, well made & with a soft cotton zip cover as a replacement for several previous pillows - all of which were inferior in quality to this one. My previous pillow was V shaped and feather filled - awful nasty spikey feathers lasting 4 months! I was on the look out for the best quality orthopaedic pillow I could find! I have had a hip replacement and due a second (I'm 46!) - I also have, after several years of worsening chronic pain - been diagnosed with a long term spinal condition - so comfort is important to me when resting. Overall I am hugely impressed with this pillow which is more U shaped than V and therefore more flexible. It IS worth paying a bit more as such superior quality. It is firm but soft and supports well sitting up and also sleeping. Update Nov 2022 Still happy with the pillow. The two spare cases I purchased since have both lost the side stitching very quickly. Worked brilliantly as an all-rounder (prenatal pregnancy sleeping pillow, sitting up comfortably in bed, breastfeeding, sitting baby up, tummy time). The ONLY fault may be that it needs a little bit more padding in the middle as theres a bit of a gap, but doesn't affect its function in any way. The 100% cotton cover is really good quality and comfortable and has survived well so far after a few washes in the washing machine. Worth every penny.

Variable quality
The first pillow we ordered was great and had lots of filling and support but the second one was much softer

Supportive and useful
Well made, extremely comfortable pillow which being a U rather than V shape has proven to be much more versatile and a boon to me whilst having to sleep upright in bed. Well worth the more expensive price.

Great purchase
I love this pillow, it made my life so much easier after my operation. Great support for the sore back. I'm also sleeping with it as it's really comfortable!

Terrible way too thin to use comfortably in bed

Excellent V shaped pillow. I am glad I took time to read reviews as so many to choose from. I feel I paid a bit more but I am glad I did as the quality is great! I would recommend if you are lokking for a decent pillow that keeps its shape. The cover can unzip to be washed. Very happy.
