Birds love it
Takes a few days for the birds to get used to it. Now they live in it with the eggs. Great for parakeets. Well made. I particularly like the hinged lid, giving you total access.

Parakeet loves it!
My parakeets really seem to love it. My female parakeet has chewed up the box which is about the only downside. However, I have not taken it out of the cage as she seems to have fun chewing on it. It is easy to clean and take care of as I have taken it out and wiped it down several times and if it wasn't for her chewing on it I would say quality is perfect. It fits well in the cage as the size is nice and it looks nice in the cage as well. I will let any pet lover know that the wood is soft and is chewable for your critters.

Good buy!
Parakeets loved it! First they didn't go inside but later explored and liked it. It was a little hard for me to adjust it at the side door of the cage so make sure before u buy about the adjustment.

Sturdy!
My birds go inside but they are not ready to be breeding as they are very young! And possibility they are both boys. Which is fine. It can serve as a play area which I have seen them going in and out of. The nesting box is sturdy and was easy to put onto the flight cage. I’m very happy with it. And would recommend to friends.

Not worth your money
The wood part of the box looked newish, not too much to complain there. However, the bolts to mount it onto the cage and the lock came beyond disgustingly rusted. It was flaking off into pieces in my hands.

Didn’t work for my birds & wood easily chewed up
First of all- my female parakeet seems to reject any nest I give her but is still a constant egg layer. So there’s that. She did reject this box and tried to chew her egg out of the box. Ended up removing the egg up out of the hole and fell to the bottom of the cage breaking. There’s no assembly needed. The little dowel perch came inside the box but there’s no hole that fits it and no hardware for it. So basically that was useless. The wood is cheap (like dollar store type) and not dense. Very easy for the parakeets to chew up and destroy. Which started happening, so before they could chew a hole through a corner or edge I removed it from the cage. So just didn’t work for the parakeets I have now. One of my older females, if she was still egg laying and separating from the flock, would have taken to this nest and enjoyed it I think. But she seems to be the only responsible one that way, lol! The rest are a bunch of terrorizers haha! The hardware attached to the cage just fine. It’s good size for a pair to take care of the eggs together- if you have responsible sitters!

Perfect nesting box to have your bird care for her eggs, it has a window for you to also keep an eye on the hatching! The lid is a little bit hard to close but over time it loosens to open and close more easier.

My society finches love the box. Hoping in the spring to get another surprise baby like I did this spring. All 5 of them squish in there and are quite cozy.

I found the box small, I have conures and they barely fit in it. They chewed right through the cheap wood it is made with. They were able to chew the edge and the floor and chewed the stick for the perch right off. The depth could be better as well, they ended up pushing the eggs out the door and they smashed on the bottom of the cage. No babies this year. Sad!

My budgies ate through the wood very fast. Not sure how well it is used as a nesting box since they haven’t chosen to lay any eggs in it. I don’t believe they have deemed this box worthy of holding their eggs since they seem to bite it easily. It is a decent size for budgies. Just wish it was made out of a better wood so the birds wouldn’t have destroyed it so fast. The stick that comes with it doesn’t fit the whole made for it. It’s award to install in the cage (if you want it in the cage) the bolts and holes are on the far side so it’s a real arm bender to get it attached. If you attached the box to the outside of a cage then it’s a lot easier battle.
