Recently I took my kids camping and tried to start a campfire and I was was surprised how fast I was able to get the fire started with these flame sticks. Guessing it probably took me less than 2 minutes. I will definitely order more and won’t use anything else because they’re so easy. I’m also ordering another box as a gift for a friend.My husband is also now obsessed with these flame sticks. He camps often and said that he was surprised at how fast he could start a fire with them compared to other ways. They also seemed to burn very clean because there wasn’t much smoke at all and he was able to reuse half of a stick. Not sure how that works, but he was certainly happy about it.Lastly, I really loved that they were individually wrapped so I didnt have to pack the entire box. To me that made them perfect in every possible way!Will definitely be ordering again,Thank you Flame Sticks!

You should definitely try these out! I am not an expert at starting a fire and need help with fire starters. These fire starter sticks work pretty well for me. Previously I had been using fire starter squares to start any kind of fire, doesn’t matter what was is for: fireplace, wood stove, grilling etc…Now I have to say that these fire starter sticks are way better than everything else available on the market. Every stick will light for 8-11 minutes, depending on weather conditions, if used indoor - I will say 10 minutes at least. Another great thing about these fire starters is that they are very nicely packed in separate handy pouches and are very compact. There are 100 sticks in one box, so comparing to other starters, I think these are well priced and worth buying. Will buy again!

hard to light, by the time it catches fire, your match is burnt down and you must strike another. Once it catches it works fine. Great for camping.

i purchase this for my indoor fireplace. it catches fire quickly and works. you need to use at least 2, 3 pieces though. it is small but lasts. i will purchase it again

While small, they pack a good amount of energy into a very small stick. These burn well and they last as advertised. I find using two of them in different locations to start a fire gets the fire going even more quickly. For the price, it was a solid investment to use for building camping fires. As small as the sticks are they are easy to carry.

I agree with most of the reviews but I have absolute fits trying light these things without using an entire butane lighter. They are small and compact, I will take them with me when I go camping and hunting. But for lighting a barbecue or a smoker, look elsewhere. They are very dense, read much sawdust, little paraffin. In a windy or breezy environment you simply cannot get these things to burn. I typically start my charcoal in chimney-style charcoal starter and these sticks will not burn the lower part of the chimney. They only way that I can light my pit is to pile up the charcoal then insert several sticks, try to light them and pray that I'll have charcoal ready to use in about 30 minutes. With conventional fire starters like Weber Cubes or DuraFlame Fire Start Cubes, the chimney would have charcoal ready to go in under 10 minutes.The company says 10 minutes of fire, I have yet to see a flame from them; they smolder and glow for that amount of time but no flames.I'm sure they are eco-friendly. And you sure can't have any flareups if you have no flame...that's very true.The company claims all weather but they will not work in a windy environment.I want to love these but for my needs they simply don't work. If you want these for emergency fire, they might be good because of their size but you almost need a fire going to get them to light. I honestly think it's just a wrong ratio of sawdust to paraffin.

Took awhile to get them on fire and to get the charcoal really going, we had to use 5-6 in the pile. These are cheaper, but at this usage rate, it will end up being the same cost as the more expensive fire starters we bought at the grill store.

I have been looking for an easy to use log that burns for about ten minutes so I can brew my coffee while camping. These sticks are perfect, lightweight, lights quickly, burns clean (not a lot of smoke), burns hot and are environmentally friendly. These sticks along with the nCamp stove beats the JetBoil system and are earth friendly!!!!Will be buying more of these sticks.
