Amazon Brand – Rivet Sloane Mid-Century Modern Ottoman, 32"W, Shell

The delivery process was perfect, the assembly was wonderfully simple (literally two steps -- sliding the back cushion section on, then screwing on 4 legs). Overall this was an ideal experience. The price was down to $325 when I bought it, which was ideal for my budget. The loveseat is actually large enough to be more like a small sofa/couch to my (good) surprise. I have a 200 sq ft studio apartment and so pickings are slim for couches/loveseats. Two adults can sit on this loveseat very comfortably to watch a movie. Also, being that I'm only 5'2'', I can take a nap on it sometimes if needed. The fabric is somewhat sturdy and resembles a thick chenille-like feel and appearance. The best part for me is that there is actual back support on this couch that allows you to sit upright at a slight angle, so you can actually think instead of sinking in and feeling uncomfortable. The part of the couch I sit on is also very large and supportive. So I guess overall I'm saying that the measurements are really great and allow for supportive sitting. I feel like I can actually concentrate and accomplish tasks while sitting on my loveseat because of the support it provides. I can concentrate more on reading, typing, movies, whatever... to sum it up, I am thrilled with this purchase and will buy the full-sized sofa to match once I get a larger apartment or condo.

Was easy to put together in mins. Great modern looking and assembled pretty good. Not a cheap chair in price but not a cheaply made one either. Add a pillow and its just fine for the living room or bedroom. Im 6 ft and the back slopes just enough to be comfortable. Firm cushion and the style and color will go with anything. Seating height is everything to me and this was 17 inches. Its not a small chair but not a huge one either. middle of the road. I purchased the ottoman to go with it for versatility. If your looking for style and moderate comfort then this is a good chair.

I am pleasantly surprised! After visiting “countless” furniture stores for mid-century modern, we decided to give Amazon a try. The Rivet brand has exceeded my expectations with this luxurious Sloane design. Fits our mid-century modern vibe perfectly. I’m 6’2” and can almost completely stretch out on the couch which is very comfortable and wide enough for napping. The sofa and loveseat we bought are comfortably firm and I’m hoping they hold up for many years. My first reaction was that these are too nice for us. It’s a beautiful color that pulls out the warmth in our woodwork. Easy to put together in my opinion and I’m wondering why there’s no one posting images of the leather version of this furniture. Hence, one reason for my writing a review. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy and we will consider Amazon Rivet in the future. 3/4/2022 UPDATE: Nearly 2 years later and this set still looks like new! We love it. I’m super impressed with how durable and long-lasting the couch and loveseat are. Still at 5 stars!!!

The couch looks cool. It's moderately comfortable. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being very soft and 10 being very firm, I'd give them a 6. It feels fine to sit on, but you won't sink into it. The material feels thinner than I had hoped. It's holding up fine. I've had the couch now for about 2 months, and don't sit on it too much. I worry that it could rip easily...if I had a dog that wanted to burrow into it I believe it would rip. It's kind of low to the ground and I plan to buy new couch legs to boost it up higher a bit Decent couch. I kind of wish I had bought a nicer one

Very happy with this ottoman purchase. It was exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I would have changed is that I should have done a better job at color matching with my existing couch. Good: - Packaged very well and I received it with no damage. Parts came inside the bottom of the ottoman in a zippered section (see photo). - Very easy to put together. - High quality cloth material and parts. - Top cushion super soft and comfortable. - Sizing matched as advertised and looks like it’s photos. Bad: - Unable to remove outer cloth to clean. - No storage.

Always a bit leery ordering something like this online. Assembly was pretty simple. Bolt on the 4 legs with 2 machine screws in each, slip on the back in a solid metal bracket, and you're done. To me, the hardware is robust. I don't see it coming apart at those points at all. As for the fabric, only time will tell. Seems to be a good build, surprisingly so. It looks fantastic. Overall it was well worth the money. There's always a few people that will pick on the quality, but it sits pretty well. There are no visible imperfections that I can find. Seems durable. I am a very mechanical person. I consider this a very well designed and engineered piece of furniture. A step up from Ikea. Would definitely recommend.

So the couch itself is pretty decent. The cushions are a good balance for my preference between soft and firm. The fabric is chenille like so it's comfortable (not sure how durable it is but I guess time will tell). The couch fabric generates a lot of static though. I had two issues with the quality of the couch. I ordered the whole set - couch, loveseat, armchair and ottoman. On the couch, I could not screw in one of the legs because there was a staple blocking the hole for the screw. Only way I could remove the staple was to cut a little hole into the underside lining of couch in order to get to the staple. Once that was done, I was able to screw in the leg and it was fine but I do have a permanent hole on the underside of my new couch. Luckily, it's not noticeable but still, I really did not want to puncture a hole in my new couch. Second issue I had was armchair was a little un-level. I figured I would place one of those chair pads under one the legs to level it but it's beginning to settle in and level out so I don't even think I'm going to bother with the minor un-leveling but still, you would expect something new to not have issues. Now for delivery of the couch - that was a bit of an ordeal. So they delivered my couch and loveseat in two different colors. I had to schedule a return of one piece and order another one. The scheduled return did not come at the scheduled time. I spoke to shipping dispatcher (who leaves a voicemail to remind you of the scheduled time). Shipping dispatcher tried to resolve by scheduling another pick-up time which would coincide with delivery of the correct color couch. The delivery of correct couch came a little earlier than the scheduled time (which was fine since I was home but I could have missed them because they did not show up within the scheduled time). They deliver my new couch but refuse to take the wrong color one saying it was not on their list to pick up. So now I have to wait again for them to pick up the wrong couch. What a pain. Overall the couch quality is decent - except for those couple of issues I had. I don't know about the durability of the couch but I will update if anything breaks sooner than it should. I did consider buying the couch warranty but the reviews on it said they made the process so difficult to deter people from putting through any claims. Next time, I may just stick with buying my couch from Macy's as I did previously since the last couch set was from there and was durable with no delivery issues. I've also heard the Macy's furniture warranty is actually worth it. We'll see how the Amazon couches hold up.
