The item was fine and works as expected. HOWEVER, this was the THIRD package in less than 2 weeks time that was delivered TO THE WRONG ADDRESS! I even put special instructions in the comments box to make sure to deliver to 401 SOUTH instead of 401 NORTH. My instructions were totally ignored. So, I give the product 5 stars and delivery 0 stars.

Just got these and am extremely pleased with them. I was concerned whether they supported a full-fledged trss headset and they do. So YAAY ! i am using these splitters on a chromebook and doing duolingo with it so i need both the ability to speak (microphone function) and to hear (headphone function.) And i wanted to be able to use the charger on the same (USB type C) port at the same time i am using the headset. And this Criello splitter does exactly what i need. (I tested both of the Criello splitters that i received and both worked fine.) Now as to longevity, i indeed plan to return if these splitters don’t last very long. But even then - if one were to fail - since there are two of them (and for very good price i should mention) at least if one fails i can still function by using the second one. (By the way - the chunky block part of the splitter does get a little warm but not probably above about 120°F. So not too worrisome at this point.) (NOTE: a trss headset has four connectors not three like a headphone connector. If the fourth connector is not present, the microphone does not work so that’s why i wanted a full-fledged trss connection.) “A trss headset utilizes a 3.5mm audio jack with four conductors (tip, ring, ring, sleeve), allowing for both stereo audio output and microphone input.”

I have an old car that my cell phone will not pair to. With this item I can play my music and charge it at the same time. I have used older Dongle adapters that have also worked well with older cell connections. They are easy to connect and work well.

Works for headset with microphone (TRRS plug), but behaves badly for simple stereo headphones without a mic (TRS plug). As soon as I plug in a TRS plug, the phone or tablet thinks that I'm activating the digital assistant. For the Pocket Casts app, this also causes the show to rewind repeatedly, so I can't listen to my show. Not worth the trouble for saving a few bucks, so I returned this and bought a more expensive dongle that works in all circumstances and for all devices.

These worked out of the box. I ordered different formats (small one part dongle, a cord based one, and this one). Functionally, this one seems to work well, especially if I want to charge while listening. I would take a pic of it plugged in, however I only have my phone and it can't take a pic of itself with this plugged in. I went through all the ones I ordered listening to a song each before unplugging and plugging in the next. I was using my gaming headset with the cord attachment (4 conductors, BTW with the extra mic connection). This ignored the mic connection like it should. The charging ability worked, although I don't know if it's slow or fast, I was already in the 90% range but my iPhone 16 Pro Max indicated it was charging when it was plugged in. The audio is mediocre however. I come from a former professional audio background (former broadcaster/audio production career) and I can recognize a good audio range when I hear it. This connector seems to produce mostly mid-range but no rich highs or lows. This could be related to the chipset because the USB-C connection is actually data into the phone itself. For the price and what I was able to test after receiving it today, I rate it 4 stars.

Idk why phones don’t have the place to plug in an Aux cord anymore. It drives me nuts as I don’t always want stuff hooked to blue tooth and even more frustrating because I’d go nuts if my kids didn’t have headphones on when using there iPads. Issue is they are 7 and 8 and Bluetooth for them isn’t the answer. They aren’t responsible enough to not lose a piece and their ears are too small for the ear pieces anyways. This was such an amazing find as I have used the regular USB-C to aux only cord in past but then would have to pick if I needed to charge phones or iPads. This makes it possible to use the aux and charge the phone at the same time! I am beyond satisfied! It’s an amazing price for the 3 pack and definitely gets used a lot! Love it!!!

There are so many things you cannot do with your phone now because of the removal of the headphone jack. This not only plugs into my headset but it also plugs into my electric guitar and electric fiddle. It works great!

Audio: The audio is okay. No highs, no lows. It could also be a function of the cheap earbuds I am using also. Power: Charging rate is slower but it keeps up with phone usage. The problem I am having with this adapter on a Oneplus 7T Pro is that I can't charge and use headphones at the same time. When I plug in a charger, the headphone icon disappears and the headphones disconnect. The headphone icon and audio returns only when the charging cable is removed. If I can't find a resolution, I will likely return them. Seller reached out to me to but we were not able to resolve the issue. Seller was super helpful and did everything they could to resolve before the return. Ultimately we're were not able to get it to work on my phone and seller was understanding. They were extremely quick in answering questions and concerns returning my messages the same day. An additional note, I actually bought 2 sets of these adapters. My daughter's iPhone 15 works perfectly with it charging and using the headphones at the same time. Due to this and great customer service, I am changing my review to 4 stars as I think it is just a phone compatibility issue and not a faulty adapter.
