I am a HUGE Caraway fan and needed a pot to go along with my pans. I ended up with this size due to the higher sides. It is perfect for making rice, couscous, quinoa, soups, sauces, et al. It’s not ideal for a box of Mac and cheese so size up if that is what you need. I purchased the grey and it is gorgeous! A beautiful soft color that would go perfect in any kitchen. It does need to be hand washed but that applies to all Caraway.

I have a couple other pieces of cookware from Caraway and added this petite cooker to the mix. It’s 2 quarts and ceramic coated, free from any ‘forever chemicals’ and thereby safe to use with confidence of knowing you aren’t cooking harmful chemicals into your food and that's vitally important to us with our holistic/organic lifestyle.I love the cream colorway with its silver stainless steel looking handles on the pot and lid; it blends so well with the muted, modern tones of my other pieces and other cookware. The design is modern is chic, so it looks good to me and that’s part of my enjoyment in the cooking experience – I cook a lot.The 2 quart size is ideal for so many uses, like reheating pasta sauces (alfredo, marinara, etc.) with leftovers as we don’t really use a microwave for reheating foods or cooking anything in our household, we stick pretty exclusively to the stove, oven, toaster oven; it’s also great for heating refried beans, soups, and stews, in individual or double-size portions, as well as my homemade queso dip. I haven’t tried cooking rice, as it’s a bit too small for that with the size of my household, I always have to cook larger portions than a 2 quart pot could handle, but I don’t doubt it would do equally as great cooking rice. It does well with even heat distribution so that I don’t encounter hot spots that would burn the sauces/foods.The pot is very solid and feels substantial, as is the lid and it has a small hole for steam to escape while cooking. It’s very easy to clean and even came with a special sponge for only occasional use in removing stubborn spots and such to help keep the pot in tip top shape and as beautiful as the day it arrived. The ceramic coating makes the pot non-stick which is the primary reason why it's so incredibly easy to clean (hand wash only)! As with my other Caraway pieces, this pot is quality made and worth the price in my view – my other pieces are doing well thus far after several months, so I have every belief that this pot will stand the test of time, too.
