Beautiful addition to my bookshelf after reading and loving the book on kindle

I can't speak for the contents of the book - yet - as I haven't read it. I pre-ordered this book because of how beautiful the pictures looked (and I liked the sound of the blurb). I am not disappointed, it is so, so pretty. The foil covering on the front of the book is well done - I've had books before where foil like that has rubbed off almost upon first touch, this one looks to be of good quality but only time will tell. The slip case is a cardboard box, a bit like a DVD special cover, which will surely help keep the book in good condition, and it's a lovely box too. The edges of the pages are red, and there's some detailing on those. If the story is as beautiful as the book, I'm on to a winner. Although it almost feels sacreligious to be reading such a petty book!

The prettiest book I now own. This book has been on my tbr list for quite some time but the second I saw there was a special edition of it coming out I had to get my hands on it immediately. The shipping was surprisingly fast, I wasn't expecting it to arrive until next week! It was a nice surprise while I was midway through cooking a less than satisfactory dinner. As for the book itself, it's bigger than I thought! Not a bad thing at all though. The gold parts I half expected to easily peel or chip off, but it doesn't! It's nicely made and put together neatly. Is it weird to comment on the smell of a book? Well I'm going to anyway. The book smells like freshly cut woodchips and I love it.

It's a good quality special edition. Amazon could have packaged it better and I thought the character art was spread out in the book where the scenes are but its all at the back of the book

I was only half way through reading Lightlark when this edition was announced. Without even finishing the book, I instantly pre-ordered this stunning collectors edition. I love the official artwork, which really helps solidify the characters while reading. I'm so excited that they are doing the next book Nightbane in the same style! It's truly a collectors item!

Je commence par dire que je ne suis pas pour la commercialisation de diverses éditions juste pour faire du business mais j'en suis tout de même victime. Cependant, le livre est arrivé en très bon état. Le prix est correcte. Il y a un coffret, des fanarts, la mise en page est la même que celle du hardcover basique. Il y a un chapitre bonus, mais je pense qu'il est possible le trouver en ligne (je ne suis pas sûre que ce soit le même que celui de la romance édition de Barnes and Noble). Le matériel de la couverture peut faire penser un peu à du tissu mais je ne serais pas trop comment le décrire. J'ai beaucoup d'éditions collectors, mais je dois dire que celle-ci est très belle, une des plus belles que j'ai.

This collector’s edition is simply stunning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The design is gorgeous both inside and out, the silver of the protective cover works so well with the silky black texture of the cover, the golden crown, heart and sword captured in it and red painted edges from the book inside. I had waiting for a while to be able to get my hands on one of this enchanting editions of one of my favorite books to add to my collection and now that I got it, it didn’t disappoint at all, it arrived in perfect condition and was definitely worth the wait.
