NOCO Snap-Top BGU1 Battery Box, Group U1 12V Battery Box for Lawn and Garden, Generators, Gate Openers and Equipment

I mounted this battery box on a rough cut trail mower that I use to mow atv trails on our wooded property. The mower came from the factory with two long bolts up through the deck and a steel angle between them to secure the battery, a very poor setup. The battery moved around alot and eventually cracked from bouncing sliding around. This battery box holds the new battery very securely. The fit it perfect for the Series U1 battery. I bolt the box to the mower deck however a strap is also included if that works better for your installation. This is a well designed, quality product.

Why all battery boxes are not made like this I have no idea. I used this one on a boat. The NOCO boxes are great for that purpose. Tough and durable, easy to open, stay shut when you need them to and most important, keep the water out. They come in a variety of sizes and are less expensive than the traditional brand for boats as well. I have bought a lot of battery boxes over the years as I like to set up my boats electrical system with multiple batteries. This is by far the best choice for a plastic marine battery box or any kind of battery box for that matter.

This is a well made box and should keep your battery well protected for many years.

Work in progress, on my eBike. Box is satisfactory for the purpose. A flatter top would be easier for mounting accessories. My GoldenMate 20A battery - not a U1- fills just over half the width, so I have some room left for wiring. (Which is what I wanted.) Not sure why you would need to poke open vent holes on the top of the lid (as indicated inside) when you have wire ports along the edges. Just saying... Decent plastic thickness. Drills easy. Adding main power switch and a USB port to whats in the pic, and it's done...

Good box and good value. The only thing I didn’t like was the screws. You are better off using stronger similar size screws. Overall very sturdy!

Excelente producto. No le doy 5 estrellas por su forma de empacarlo. La tap debería venir empaquetada para no sufrir rayaduras al venir en la parte baja se frota y se raya. Como en mi caso la tapa parece usada. Fuera de eso buen producto. Mejoren su embalaje de envío

J'avais deux piles de type U1 pour mon tracteur à gazon que je transportait dans mes mains à l'automne. Maintenant elle resteront à l'abri durant l'hiver dans le garage.

Exactly as described, fit my u1 battery perfectly.
