I like this device! It made it very easy for me to check the pH of my lawn before scattering seed. In 10 minutes (Insert the probe and keep busy with something else while the meter gets a good read on your soil) I knew that the dirt was perfectly balanced and ready for sowing. The meter also checks the moisture level and measures how much light the area receives. It's a great tool and worked well for me!

This has lasted surprisingly long. The light meter works pretty well, the moister does too. Update, still working well. Buying a second for the garden so I can keep the other for the inside plants. Remember folks, this measures electrical conductivity through soil. The wetter the soil the better the conductivity. Sticking this in a glass of water to test and calming it doesn't work only proves you're an idiot. Understand the tool you're using, how it works, so you can gauge the approximate Ph, moister, light levels. This isn't a scientifically accurate tool. It's nine bucks.

Works. Great price. Measures pH, moisture level, and light level.. My only problem with it is that the screen is small and (for me) difficult to read. There’s a big difference between pH 6 and 7, for example, and I think I’ll dish out more money for one with a more discernable digital readout that will read out finer measurements. This one is great however, if you just wanna get your hubby to quit drowning your houseplants.

This is the second SONKIR pH meter and soil moisture tester I've purchased and used heavily. The last one lasted 7 years until I accidentally broke off one of the tips. I use it primarily to test the moisture in my lawn soil so I don't over or under water which is import here in HOT Southern California. I highly recommend, its a great product at a fair price and fast delivery.

Ph readings do not work, the moisture and sun seem to work somewhat but I do not have full faith in this product.

Saying this doesn’t work is an understatement. The needle only moves when you swap the selector switch. It showed “dark” when facing direct sunlight. It showed dry when it should have at least shown some moisture, so I watered a small spot very heavily. Waited a few minutes, tested and it still showed “dry”. My soil is likely alkaline, and the main reason I got the meter was to test ph. The needle doesn’t move at all and stays at 8. While this. Could be true, I have no way of knowing. This thing is total trash. If it were $10 with an $20 coupon, it still wouldn’t be worth it because of the time tou have to waste trying to use it. In the picture it shows it in direct sunlight, you can even see the shadow showing this. This is an hour ordering, trying to get it to work, doing the return, and driving to take it to drop it off for the return, so an hour of my life that this total trash has wasted. 1 is too high of a rating for this. Why is there not a zero option, this would be worthy of a zero rating.

I bought this because gardening sometimes feels like guesswork and I wanted to know what was actually going on with the soil. It is easy to use and gives you a quick idea of moisture and pH levels. Helpful little tool if you are trying to give plants a better chance of surviving.

Waardeloze Ph meter waar je hem ook insteekt compost ,teelaarde,wit zand … hij blijft op 7 staan.

Good product at this price. Don't use same day after watering. Better when top/surface is dry and you want to measure the situation half way through. Calibration is good.

The PH measuring mode on the meter does not work and this is the only reason I bought it. Dissaponted.

Helaas, licht en PH worden niet gemeten. Of ik hem nu in een zak pure turf steek of in iets anders, de waarde blijft hetzelfde, nl. PH 2 a 3. Helaas ook niet goed gelezen dat het product vanuit GB naar NL verstuurd werd, dus via de douane gaat. Retourneren is zo omslachtig dat ik het maar weggooi.
