What's the difference between CR MAX BT and the CR MAX?

The main difference is the connection type. The CR MAX connects to the OBD port directly via cable, while the CR MAX BT includes a wireless BT VCI dongle — you can hold IT at the engine bay or rear of the vehicle without being tethered by a cable.

The CR MAX BT cannot recognize my vehicle by AutoVIN, does it mean the device is faulty?

Not necessarily. You can manually select your vehicle model. Or send VIN to our support team and we'll confirm AutoVIN compatibility within 24 hours. In the meantime,We'll add your VIN to our database in the next update.

DTCs can be read normally but fail to be cleared or reappear after clearance, why?

1.Please keep ignition on and engine off. Record freeze frame data first before clearing codes. 2.Persistent hardware faults need physical repair prior to code clearance. 3.Some fault codes like SRS and ABS only be cleared after bi-directional tests.
