I still have my original Boresnake Viper and I think I paid some ridiculous price for it. These are cheap enough to buy but so far they are holding up to use. The point of failure for any of these bore cleaners is the shoe lace detaching from the cloth cleaner. So far, these are every bit as good as the brand name.In the words of the makers of these - Make you the happy long use clean the time.

After I received these I noticed it was for several different calibers. It was literally all I could do to pull it through my 308. I thought it was going to get stuck it was so hard. But I have never used a bore snake with brushes on it either. Honestly if I would have noticed the multiple calibers and the built in brushes I wouldn’t have bought them. They did get it clean with one pull though. It was just extremely tough getting it through.

I used the (9mm 5.56 7.62 12 GA,2 Pcs(.44-.45 Cal) (22-.223 Cal & 5.56mm +357.380.38 Cal & 9mm) size for my 5.56 Ar-15 and my .38 revolver. Work great. Tight the first time through, then a bit easier, which is perfect because it means it's scrubbing well. For the price, can't be beat.

We used to use knotted 550 cord for this but this is actually a great way to sneak in a quick bore cleaning in the field that works just a little bit better with the brush integrated into the bore snake. Good to have in your kit.

I put bore cleaner in my AR15 and dropped the metal end of the snake in the barrel. When I started pulling the snake into the barrel it hung about 6 inches. With difficulty I was able to reverse the pull and remove it. My rifle is a .223 and should work according to the description. Will not attempt to use it again.

I did some research on bore snakes because I wanted to clean my rifles barrel as good as possible. These are heavy duty and easy to wash. I've had these a few months and haven't used the second one. I just was the one I use, hang it to dry and it hasn't deteriorated at all.

The sizes r completely wrong the 22 is more like a 9mm, there r no plastic starters like the original bore snakes, these get caught in the bore before u can even start to use them, dont waste your money on these, buy the real deal for the caliber u need! Seriously these r sh!t, these will not clean your pistols by anymeans and they r clunky to use even with a 12 g
