The seller shipped the item very quickly. When I received it, the outer box had only minor dents and no obvious damage. I'm not an audiophile, just someone who enjoys listening to music. I chose this player mainly because it can play CDs and has an FM tuner. However, I hesitated a bit because I saw mixed review. After listening for few days, here are my initial thoughts: 1.CDs: The sound is gentle and clear, very comfortable to listen to. When tested with a digital output (SPDIF) to a soundbar, the effect was great. I've listened to about ten CDs so far, and there have been no skipping issues. 2.FM: It is very sensitive in reception, and the sound is also very clear; much better than expected. 3.Music Files: They are okay, nothing particularly amazing, but not bad either. The unit is nice and small, the remote is good, and it sounds great. Build quality is excellent. I've had no issues. All discs so far play just fine. I have boxes and shelves of CDs from decades ago that I gradually stopped listening to. I didn't have a legitimate CD player (just an old DVD player and game consoles) and this TEAC player stands out as the only real affordable model by a reputable brand. I realize after buying this and listening to my old CDs that I never owned a good quality player in my life. I'm using this as a player, so it's using the internal DAC. It sounds nice and warm. I'm hearing details in tracks I've never heard before. I would have never stopped listening to CDs if I had a good quality player like this all along.

Finally to have good music again in my house as old CD player died. Love Teac footprint. Extremely happy with purchase price. Fast and safe global delivery too.
