This is a very sturdy 1.25 inch curling iron that heats well and shuts off if you forget to turn it off. I have white/silver hair and use the lowest setting, 300 degrees at all times and have not had any discoloration or yellowing even though I use the curling iron daily. The iron heats up to 450 degrees with 3 additional lower heat settings, 4 in all. My hair is fine, and thinner, medium length and the iron curls in 5 seconds and the curls stay after combing and teasing. On occasion I get a crimp line where the clamp meets the barrel if there is more hair spray on my hair, but it quickly disappears before I comb out my hair. Most times I have no crimp line. The cord swivels nicely, is ample in length, the tip of the barrel is easy to grasp and stays cool while winding the hair on the barrel. It’s not super light and not super heavy so at my elderly age I find this iron very easy to hold and work with. I had a concern with the iron originally and Lanvier customer service was quite responsive, professional and remedied the concern quickly through their e-mail contact. The item was packaged carefully, securely, and the storage bag, which is a very nice, secure fabric that is plenty long to fit the curling iron, and directions were included. Everything about this purchase has been perfect for me. I did not receive any discount, freebie, or reward for providing this honest review. I just really like this curling item (I’ve had many over the years), and will definitely purchase from Lanvier again in the future.

This curling iron has worked great! The quality is high - my hair feels strong still and not overly heat damaged. It’s lightweight and easy to use - I love the heat options and it heats up fast. I love the longer barrel - it’s great for my hair and curling! So far, a month after buying, the value for the money is great. I was a little skeptical because it it wasn’t a typical brand I’ve seen or heard of like Conair or Hot Tools, but it’s been great!

I accidentally broke my curling iron from manhandling it. Instead of searching for a new model and brand, I re-bought the same exact one because it's so good. It's lightweight, easy to use, has a nice carrying case. Not to mention it's super cute and the quality is great. I like the auto shut off feature which eases my mind.

I've never experienced such a disappointment like I did with this purchase. I received the package, opened it and the product came like it was just thrown in there. The cord was just shoved into the box, typically when you buy something with a cord, the cord is nicely wrapped, contained and with a plastic cover on the outlet...this one, not at all, it was just shoved into the box. The tool looked dirty there were even some stains on it, not clean and sleek at all. I still go to plug it in and it doesn't even work! Never returned something so fast before, aive also never bought something new that came so disfunctional.

As a first time traditional curling iron buyer, this was a gem of a find. Easy to use, heats up fast, gives me perfect bouncy curls that last all day. The only downside, which seems to be a consensus among other reviews, is that after five months it just randomly stopped turning on/working which to me is a pretty short shelf-life for a hair tool. Bought it again instead of searching for something new since I'm happy with the product, but buyer beware!

This is a fantastic curling iron! So much better than my more expensive hot tools. Gets very hot and holds a curl. Highly recommend for an affordable, good iron.

This is such a great curling iron! I am so impressed by how lightweight it is considering how long the barrel is. Super easy to use and great for long hair! I know I will be using this for years to come

This curler has helped my wig game. Although it has an odd smell when in use but other than than, it works fine.

Works well. Gets hot very fast. Not a huge fan of the 1.25 barrel vs the 1 but going to keep in case we want a looser curl. Something note worthy, it’s all black, so it’s hard to tell what’s hot and not and accidentally burnt myself a few times

The barrel size is great, makes a nice curl. The highest setting is very hot on hair but good for thicker hair with that. 4 star only because I find the grip of bar is not as tight as I would like but it holds hair just fine.
