Easy To Use, Deep Freeze Application
I’ve had an irritating small wart on my finger for a few years now, brought about from a lot of writing where the pen has rested on the finger. I thought I’d try this Flexitol brand Freeze-It Verruca and Wart Treatment, in a 50 ml can that has an unusual detachable top that makes applying the treatment easier. Just press the top part down over the aerosol can on a hard surface for 3 seconds, wait a further 5 seconds, then carefully pick up the top part and press the metal tip onto the wart for 20 seconds, careful not to touch any other area of the surrounding skin. Now I admit, I was a bit nervous of doing this, thinking about the pain, but it’s actually not as bad as I’d imagined. A bit of a ping, but this settled down after about 30 minutes. I guess if I hadn’t felt anything it might not have been effective. My finger looked a little red where the wart is initially, but no white dry patch like liquid treatments. We will see if this works, I’ll update this review if it has.

Doesn't work
It's doesn't work. I followed the instructions, applied many times in a month and nothing changes despite my Verruca is very small doesn't freeze it as it should. Waste of time and money.

Does work, but may need more than one application
I used this in the past for a small verruca on my foot, and it did clear it up. It took 3 applications over the span of a few days, rather than the single application it states on the description, though this was perhaps my own impatience at work. It blistered up and fell off completely after just over a week. It's easy to use, but due to how cold it is, you have to be careful with it, as you can damage surrounding skin if you're sloppy. You have to soak your foot in warm water for 5 minutes first. If you can get a family member/partner to help with the application, this will make it easier, especially on the foot area, which can be quite tricky to do on your own. The bottle states it has enough for 15 applications, so it can be reused later, if need be. The expiry date on my box was 2027.

Not effective
Followed instructions in pack, when pressed down for the count of three as instructed the liquid/gas came out the sides thus making the whole canister extremely cold. This also meant that the canister emptied quicker than expected and when the metal tip was applied to the wart it had no effect whatsoever. Really disappointed in this product.

waste of time and money
Unfortunately there is no chance this could possibly make any difference or have any chance of working. The contact spot is a steel button which gets cold after pressing the gas outer. Obviously very safe to use since it is never going to get to anywhere near a temperature that could cause any reaction to the skin. As I said a waste of money!

Very simple
Easy to use and simple instructions to follow. There is no doubt that this is still painful to do but it's great as a lot you can do at home that is effective. Follow all the instructions on the packet and you can't go wrong.

Not what I wanted should of looked at property. I wanted just to spray and freeze them but thus produce is a little different.

Simple to use...... * edit after two and then four weeks
Original review - Having tried the usual gel type treatments that dry white several times, I'm keen to see if this freezing treatment will succeed. It is certainly simple to use and quick to understand - pop the cap on the bottle, press down for 3 seconds, leave for 5 seconds then apply the small metal part to the wart or verruca for 15 or 20 seconds. Remove and that's it, you are done. Wait two weeks and the offending item will drop off. I really like not having a horrible, visible white bit on my finger like you get with other treatments. At the moment, there is no visible sign that I've done anything. I will report back in two weeks - hopefully with success in which case this will become a 5 star review *Edit - after two weeks and three more applications, it is apparent this treatment does not work. I wish it had but as it hasn't, it has to be dropped from 4 to 2 stars and I'll go back to the more usual gel type treatment **2nd edit. After reading another review that had found by applying for a full minute, the device worked, I did the same. For four days running I applied and reapplied, each time keeping the frozen tip on the offending wart for at least a minute. After a couple of days the skin around it became quite sore but soon recovered. After a further couple of sessions at the end of the first week I found I could cut off the protruding part of the wart. After another week and another couple of applications, the remainder has just been picked off. For the first time in years, I don't have a wart of the side of my finger. So this device does work - but the instructions could certainly do with some updating to manage expectations as it certainly is not just one application. I am however delighted that it has worked and I would buy this again now that I know how best to use it.
